Happy New Year everyone! This piece was actually supposed to be my last of 2023, but then I got my ass covid’ ! I almost had to go to a hospital because of it, but now I’m in much better shape. If you’re eligible, please go get your booster shot, I’m pretty sure, if I hadn’t gotten one a couple months ago, I probably would be in the hospital or worse. This was my second time, the first was during summer 2022 and back then I only had a slight fever and an ouchie throat, but oh wow… This one was so much worse… Due to the meds I now have, my hand tremors are way worse and writing & drawing feels kinda horrible. After I’ve recovered from this, I have a pretty busy month workwise, so I’m probably not going to be able to draw as much as I did during December.

Her name is Aurélie.

I had selective mutism when I was a teenager, so mute characters are kinda close to my heart (a thing that took embarrassingly long to realize). It was really weird to not be able to speak in certain situations no matter how hard you tried. I’m glad it isn’t a problem anymore.

Just a random character thing~

Thinking about creating websites for my different (long & lore heavy) stories, so I can keep everything organized better. I had an about 200 page book for this one and I frigging lost it like a couple months ago. I’m pretty sure I left it over 300km away somewhere in public.

Also, for the next couple weeks there will be less art by me. I have about 4 weeks worth of shifts at my regular job, but then I’m going to be done with it for good. I recently learned I’m not going to get paid for my sick days (where I live, you get paid for them and the thing he’s doing is not legal), because my boss has decided to be extremely shitty (again…) Not sure what I’m going to do after that, but I hope my art stuff will either take a better direction moneywise or I find another job. I’m so done.

Wanted to try to do some character redesigning/defining again. This is my wifey’s oc Voiran, who’s part of my comic story. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten him “right” (well, maybe once, when I did that character wheel thingie.) I think I’m finally happy with how he looks in this style.

Voiran used to be her WoW character (kinda, first he was a fan comic character, then a Warcraft character.) I always felt a little bit bad for him in those stories, so I decided to adopt him to a different project. He used to have such an unhappy ending, I vowed to give him happiness.
