My love,
I once felt that love and happiness were like a shooting star: burning too brightly and dying too fast, a moment of light that darkness inevitably follows. Something that I would only feel in fleeting moments, before it disappeared before me again.
But you, you are a constancy. It really is the little things. Seeing you, hearing your laughter and jokes, having your breath ghost over mind, listening to your sighs as you sleep. It tugs at my heart in a way I never thought it would. My ice-encased heart was melted so slowly by your warmth that I didn’t even notice, until every moment I wasn’t with you I wished I was. You give me the gentle sunlit warmth of a lover, and I’m forever grateful. Or maybe it’s more like an oven baking bread.
Life is easier with you in it, I feel like the air is easier to breathe. It’s like everything is a little better. When I press my forehead against yours, I sometimes wish for my thoughts of you that run forever through my head would travel into the hallways of your mind.
Come see me again soon. I miss you. You mean the most to me, don’t you know?
Hatori kisses mayu with every ounce of love he has to give. Sometimes he cannot believe he found love again. That too in this wonderfully perfect woman. He holds her face with one hand and the other holding her back pulling her to him. After the curse broke he could not get enough of her. He exhausts every angle of their faces kisses her deeply, his tongue subtly asking entry which she gladly grants. They slowly inch towards the bed where she hesitates a bit. Blushing furiously she looks into his eyes extremely shy. He holds her close and asks "Do you trust me?" She nods and looks away bashfully. He is also nervous but he is confident about what he wants to do. She is the woman he loves. Deeply. Irrevocably. He bends and picks her up while she yelps. He smirks as he lays her down on the bed and before she could scold him he catches her lips in his. Her hands have now completely crumpled his ironed shirt. His tie thrown away previously and his upper buttons open he looks irresistible. She holds his neck and pulls him closer even more. His hands on both her sides he looks down at her with lust. An emotion he never thought he would experience. He dips down and attacks her again. Wet kisses on her lips, neck, forehead, nose while his hands tug at her clothes slowly inching them away from her body. She unbuttons his shirt and he helps her remove her top and pulls down her pants leaving her in just her undergarments. Hatori completely stops in his tracks unable to take his eyes off her. He has to physically restrain himself from not having her right there and then. She sits up and pushes his shirt off his body revealing a toned set of abs. She started peppering kisses down his jaw and chest. He pushed her back on the bed holding her hands down and sucked on her neck which was sure to leave a mark but he didn't care. She was his. He wanted the world to know. He had held back for so long. She could feel his hard length through his pants pressed against her wet cunt. His hands started exploring her soft body starting from her neck, her breasts and landed at her underwear which was getting moist. He smirked as she hid her face blushing. He kissed her deeply again as his hands fumbled with the bra straps. Surprisingly deftly he undid the straps and took it off her with impatience. He moaned as he came in contact with her breasts for the first time yet he was sure not the last. He was hers for the rest of his life. Her moan when he took one of her nipples in his mouth and sucked on it earnestly was pure bliss. He was unconsciously thrusting his length into her wet panties. He sucked on her nipples as his fingers inched the underwear off from her legs leaving her completely naked. He stood up and hastily removed his pants undressing completely. He could not wait any longer , he immediately embraced her as she held onto him tightly, moaning his name into his ears. She could feel his tip throbbing near her entrance but before she could urge him to enter he started kissing her body again and to her surprise landed on her opening. Licking her dripping cunt with intense love and care. Holding her down as she wriggled endlessly under his attention. She held onto his hair as he continued his sucking and licking. He came up and immediately kissed her hugging her and slowly positioning himself such that his tip was pushing inwards. Slowly he bottomed out uniting with her completely. Both moaning and kissing as he thrust into her repeatedly. He used his fingers to rub her clit to increase pleasure he was giving her as he stuffed his entire length into her over and over again. Soon they were sweating and engulfed in euphoria. His thrusts became sloppy as he held onto her with his life. With one final thrust he emptied himself into her as she also came screaming his name out. They tried to catch their breaths as they looked into their eyes knowing that this was the first of many. He was hers forever. She was his future. His sunshine. He smiled at her and she kissed him deeply on his lips before he settled in the crook of her neck.
Later in the night, hatori woke up to mayu naked in his arms. Both of them were snuggled under a blanket after their passionate activities. He looked at her beautiful face comfortably sleeping on his chest. He wasn't a very expressive person but with her his emotions knew no bounds. He knew he would marry her one day. And this time it was meant to last for the rest of his life. He smiled and settled into a blissful sleep next to his love.
Chapter 10 from the LongFic Wisteria and the Dragon on AO3. This is also written with an OFC.
Posting this chapter here because the premise is: Getting drunk with Hatori. Mostly fluff with a little angst, but overall wholesome energy.
TW: None. No smut in this chapter either. I just love how precious Hatori is. Please heed TW if you go onto AO3. This whole series is very dark.
I poured the customer his drink with a smile, signaling for Michi to take over the rest of his request. After processing his order in the system, I looked to the door to greet the man who just walked in. There was a tall familiar face with widened eyes, stopping to stare at me for a moment. I looked over to Michi and came up behind her. “Hey… Can you cover for me…?” I asked while holding eye contact with Hatori. Her line of eyesight followed mine.
“Yeah… Of course.” She agreed as I spun around to grab a bottle of whiskey before rushing over to Hatori. “That’s all coming out of your paycheck!” She shouted as I waved her off before grabbing Hatori by the wrist and using the backdoor of the bar that led into my apartment stairwell.
“I don’t understand… You said you left.” Hatori spoke behind me as I dragged him up the stairs.
“It’s not what you think, Hatori.” You sighed while reaching into your pocket to pull out your keys, opening your front door.
“So you didn’t rejoin the Yakuza…? I know you left things open ended with Raikou…” He questioned wearily as I kicked off my heels.
“Honestly Hatori, I’m a bit disappointed that you would think that little of me.” I replied while placing the bottle on the kitchen counter. Part of me was saying that to tease him, but another part of me did feel stung… I thought out of everyone… He could see past that dark part of me… My head was hanging, until I took out the pourer from the bottle and took a long swig.
“I’m sorry.” He hummed while placing his hand on the bottle to lower it before taking it from my hands. “Could you explain please?”
“Raikou offered me a job as a bartender… Nothing more. In addition… He also offered me my apartment back with the job and I agreed as long as he docked my pay to cover rent.” I explained while Hatori poured us both drinks. “I’m glad to see your wrist is better.” I smiled while running my hand along his forearm as he handed me my glass.
“You’re only serving drinks?” He questioned with a raised eyebrow.
“Yes.” I chuckled. “Just drinks. I even pay taxes and am an official registered employee.” I laughed lightly. He grinned before taking a sip of his drink. “Satisfied?” I asked with my own brow raised and a hand on my hip. Without saying a single word, he tucked my hair behind my ear. My eyes fluttered shut at the soft touch. I had missed those… Him so much… When I whispered his name, he placed his hand on my cheek, his thumb moving along my cheekbone. I felt his warm lips press to my forehead. My hands blindly reached to his suit jacket, gripping the hem to keep him at a distance.
“I just want you safe.” He murmured, his hand tilting my face upwards. His lips pressed to mine, letting me taste the sweetness from the whiskey on his lips. The kiss was sweet, but chaste… It wasn’t enough.
When he pulled away, I moved my hands from his jacket to cup his face and pull him to me. I smashed my lips into his with a hunger I haven’t had with him before. I’ve always tried to be gentle with him, give him the same kindness he gives me, but now… Now all I could feel was passion. I wanted to feel more of him, but I knew that wasn’t possible. I wanted to hold him tight, to embrace him, to feel every inch of him, not just what was allowed…
“Easy…” He whispered while pushing at my shoulders. My heart sank a bit with my throat feeling a little choked up.
“I just…” I smoothed over his cheeks before tucking the hair that always covered his eye, behind his ear. “I wish I could have all of you.”
“You have as much as I can give…” He spoke before pressing a kiss on my forehead over my bangs.
“I know.” I conceded with a half smile before letting go and reaching back for the bottle and my drink. Carrying both, I walked over to the balcony and placing them on a table outside before sitting down. “I assume you could use a smoke about now…?” I wondered before chuckling. He walked past in the slippers I had bought for him, pulling out a packet from the pocket inside his suit jacket.
“Sorry…” He mumbled after placing the cigarette between his lips.
“It’s fine.” I hummed while sipping on the whiskey and crossing my legs. Starting to unbutton the vest for my uniform, I slipped it off and let it rest on the back of the chair I was sitting in. Hatori took in a long drag before leaning over the railing on the balcony, looking over the street below. “How’s Momiji?”
“He’s good… But the effect it’s had on Akito is…” He trailed off with a sigh. “I had to pull her off of her mother today… Comfort her and console her from this… Mess.” His words made me think back to the moment where Momiji’s curse broke. How tightly he hugged me, how relaxed this boy felt… He’d never known a mother’s love, not that I was one to give it to him… But maybe… Just maybe… What I was able to provide was enough. Was that really a mess…? “What’s on your mind?” When he asked the question I realized I had been staring at my drink in my hands. Hatori’s eyes were a bit widened, his head tilted to the side just enough to see his injured eye too.
After placing the glass on the table, I walked over to him, watching as he took another drag. He straightened as he held his breath, the cigarette between his fingers on the hand that held to the railing. It was like a statue stood before me, standing so perfectly still. When I neared, I stood on my tippy toes, pressing my lips to his. The sigh of relief flowed from his lips to mine, the taste of nicotine now on my tongue. With my hand on the back of his neck, I let that very tongue slide past his lips. His tongue met mine, with his hand moving to my shoulder once more. Instead of pushing me away this time he smoothed over my shoulder, moving down to my bicep and giving it a tender squeeze. A cool winter breeze hit, and I felt something wet fall against the back of my dress shirt. It sent a shiver down my spine, but that only made me crave him more. How I wish I could share his warmth…
“Let’s go in… We’ll catch a cold.” He mumbled against my lips. I let the tip of my nose rub against his before nodding. He tucked stray hairs away behind my ear as I planted my feet firmly on the ground. Just as he took the last drag, I looked up to the sky to see the snow starting to fall. He put out the cigarette, and I quickly pressed my lips to his to taste the exhale. “You really shouldn’t do that. You can’t start smoking…” He scolded, yet his lips formed a smile against mine.
“Maybe it’s your lips that are addicting…” I teased while smiling back and feeling his grow wider.
“What a thought…” He hummed before taking my hand in his. We went back inside, but not before I snatched the bottle and my glass. I finished my drink while inside as Hatori closed the sliding glass door. I could feel my cheeks growing warm, and a certain haze starting to form in my mind. “I’ll go get us some towels.” He mentioned before heading off into my room. Placing the bottle on the coffee table, I started to undo the buttons on my dress shirt. As I was slipping the dress shirt off, he came back into the living room. “What are you doing?” He questioned as I let the shirt fall to the floor.
“My clothes are wet.” I shrugged while unbuttoning my dress pants.
“Yes, but-”
“Hatori…” I interjected while wiggling out of them. “We’re alone… Momiji isn’t here… Akito doesn’t know where I live… It’s just us.” I finished with a smile after stepping out of the dress pants. As I neared, I helped him take off his suit jacket despite his tight lips.
“There’s something I need to tell you.” He tried to still my hands as I undid the buttons on his dress shirt, but I kept going. “Akina…” He whispered, but I kept moving as he let me slide off the shirt. “Akina, please…” His fingertips lifted my chin, with me finally stopping as I rested with my fingertips sunk into his dress pants. The frown on his face gave me a sinking feeling in my stomach. “You didn’t get into Tokyo Medical…” He told me as I looked at his stomach.
“We expected that…” I shrugged before clenching my jaw. For the briefest of moments, I felt his arms wrap around me. My cheek pressed into his shoulder with his hand behind my head. His other arm wrapped around my back, pressing my nearly bare chest to his. For the first time I felt his warmth consume me. Just as my eyes closed, his warmth disappeared. When my eyes opened, I immediately crouched down, digging through his clothes until I found the yellow seahorse. “That might’ve been the quickest way to undress, but I don’t think it was the easiest.” I chuckled while walking to the kitchen as I cupped him in my hands. Placing him carefully into a bowl, I filled a cup with water and poured it in slowly, watching him swirl in a circle as the water filled the porcelain. I leaned over with my elbows on the counter, dipping my finger into the water.
“Thank you for the hug…” I whispered as I felt my eyes water up. His little tail pushed in the water, his body curling up to my finger. He nuzzled his little face against my knuckle, with one of my tears falling into the water. He approached the ripples slowly, almost in awe at them. “I really needed it.” Another tear fell into the water, with Hatori watching the ripples clashing. “I’m going to refill your drink for when you turn.” I told him before heading to the coffee table. I drank what was left of my drink and took the bottle over to the kitchen again. Pouring him a fresh new drink, I waited as I watched him in the water. He was bobbing near the surface, so I put my finger back in.
“Looks like you turned me back.” He chuckled as he formed in place, sitting on the kitchen counter. His tall body hunched over, his hands planted on the counter, and the water spilled behind him. Cupping my face in his hands, he leaned down to press a kiss to my forehead.
“Do you think it was my exam scores being too low?” I wondered with my hips pressing against his knees.
“Your exam scores are fine.” He assured while pushing my bangs back. “I see you dyed your hair back.” He chuckled.
“Yes well, I couldn’t trust you with the hair dye, could I?” I teased with my hands brushing along his calves. Reaching behind him, he gripped onto the bottle and took a swig straight from it. “My, my… Hatori drinking straight from the bottle?” I took a couple steps back. His smile faded with his head tilting a bit.
“Should I not have done that? Were you planning on putting this bottle back?” He stated to ramble questions, but he stopped when he heard me laughing. The smile returned to his face almost as quickly as it left. I started to walk to my bedroom, heading to the walk-in closet with Hatori walking to the towels. In the walk-in closet, I dug around a bit before finding the box I was looking for. I brought out the box and handed it to Hatori who was drying off his hair.
“It’s nothing special… But I bought it in hopes of you staying over again.” I told him as he let the towel hang around his shoulders. He took the box, but when he opened it his eyes widened and my heart sank. “Tha-that is… If you can stay. I mean if you can’t, that’s fine. I can toss your clothes in the dryer or something or you can take some of Raikou’s old things or-” I babbled as I watched his fingers touch the fleece on the PJ long sleeved shirt. It matched the one he first wore when I was with him, only this one was fleece instead of silk. The PJ’s were navy blue, with a white lining along the hem and I finally stopped talking as I watched him smile.
“Of course I’m staying… Shigure’s covering.” He clarified while taking out the pants.
“Good.” I whispered with a grin before plopping down on the couch. While shivering, I grabbed the blanket on the couch, curling up underneath it. I watched as he buttoned up the fleece shirt, his pale skin slowly covered by it. He sat down next to me, reaching for his drink on the table. Readjusting, I sat so I face him, my arm resting on the back of the couch. His fingertips traced along the stream on my bicep, leading up to my forearm. “Why…? Why do you still go to her?” I wondered with my brows knitting upwards. He would always go through so much pain, yet every single time he would always return to her… Always return to her neglect and toxicity. Why would he torture himself in such a way? Why would he allow himself to endure such things???
“Why did it take you so long to leave the bosozoku?” His question sounded simple, but it caught me by surprise. I wanted to try to find a reason, but none ran through my head… Instead I found myself just staring into Hatori's eyes, watching them as they grew darker… Stormier...
“I felt indebted. They were the one family I ever had and I needed to protect them.” I explained while I felt my face contorting inmixutes of emotions as I stared at the liquor in his glass.
“Exactly.” He agreed, which made the fist i was propping my head up with tighten. It was the same, wasn’t it? The sense of obligation? Wanting to protect that which you hold/once held dear?
“And… Because I never had a reason to leave…
Hatori, I chose that family… because I was young, and angry, and tired. They were the only ones who…" I trailed off for a moment as it was getting hard to talk with the lump in my throat and the tears in my eyes. "They accepted me for me. But why do you still go to her?” I asked while stealing a glance, suddenly feeling my heart strings get tighter, pulling myself in his direction with an invisible string. I watched as his eyes grew wide, still staring at his own glass.
“I… I feel indebted-”
“To her?” I huffed.
"I…" Each time he tried to speak it felt like he couldn't find the words he was trying to say. Instead, he continued to stare at the glass he loosely held in his lap. "I'm not ready yet…" He whispered before drinking the glass entirely. After he finished, he inched the glass on the table, almost like he was trying to move as little as possible.
"I don't understand…" I whispered while covering my arm under the blanket and leaning a bit away from Hatori. "What's…" I trailed off, because if I asked the question… I was afraid I might not like the answer. "What's so special about her?"
"She acts like a petulant child." Hatori finally spoke after what felt like a long time. "She lashes out, and does so in the most desperate, needy, and pathetic way. But when she clings to you like that, and she calms… You feel like the most special thing in the world." He explained, with a tinge of rosiness on his cheeks and the smallest of smiles. "She feels so small in your-"
"Enough." I told him while standing up and dragging the blanket with me. I suppose… How could i expect to make him feel special…? I'm nothing but Yakuza trash. I grabbed onto the neck of the bottle and took two large gulps that burned my throat before placing it back on the table. I then let go of the blanket and walked into my bedroom without saying anything at all. On the bed, I sat, resting my foot on my knee. I knew I was supposed to smile while staring at that anklet, but my heart was wrenched. My face was forcing itself into a frown as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Akina." He whispered as the door creaked open. Instead of responding with words, I shook my head and shrugged his hand off my shoulder. I felt the blanket from the living room being draped over my shoulders, then wrapped around me.
"I'm sorry I don't make you feel special." I spoke with a whine, the saliva in my mouth clinging from the roof to the bottom when it finally opened. Tears streamed down my cheeks and Hatori kneeled before me, coming into view.
"Is that what has you crying?"
"If I made you feel special, then you wouldn't want to go to her, and maybe the curse would break." I elaborated as he reached up to my cheek.
"It's not that simple… There's still that line of fate i told you about. Now please… You're being drunk and silly. You make me feel plenty special." He smiled, but I hugged the blanket tighter with a frown.
"But not like the most special in the world." I pouted.
"When you called out my name when you were in the hospital… That was the most special i have ever felt." He wiped away at a couple tears.
"Really?"
"Yes. You really are terrible at handling your liquor" He laughed, which made me throw myself back on the bed.
"I know." I groaned while squeezing my eyes shut. I felt him lift my head, placing it onto his lap after undoing the bun my hair was in for work. He started to run his fingers through my hair in a smooth repetitive motion. "Hatori…?"
"Yes, my love?" He cooed, and when I opened my eyes, his cheeks were such a pretty pink and his eyes such a pretty purple. His hair was hanging, draping like a curtain and hiding his face from the world so that only i was allowed to see it.
"I want to marry you. I want to break the curse and marry you."
"Ok." He whispered, but he seemed unfazed by it.
"I mean it. I'm not just being silly. I want to marry you." I repeated, but his expression still looked the same.
"I know you're not."
"Then why aren't you reacting?!" I whined. "This moment is special…"
"Every moment I get with you is special. Don't you get it? I never thought I would see spring again. Just like outside… Any moment away from you feels like winter, but you are my personal spring… In here with your head on my lap, you're spring." This time I closed my eyes with happy tears falling.
"I know it'll be busy, but let's get married in spring." I hummed before yawning.
"That sounds wonderful. But help me, you're heavy." He finished with a grunt as I felt him tug under my armpits. Kicking at the bed, I scurried my way to have my head on the pillow and the blanket kicked away from under me. Hatori's arms found themselves around me before he started brushing at my hair again.
"And let's have a traditional wedding… I know you'll like that." I told him as I yawned again.
"We don't have to do that." He spoke softly as his knees pushed up behind mine to curl me in on myself some.
"I want to, but you'll have to help me with my fear of wearing kimonos." I mumbled.
"If that's what you want." He whispered.
"Maybe I wouldn't be a terrible mother…" I started to wonder.
"You would be a wonderful mother…" Hatori mumbled against my cheek.
"A little baby Hatori…" I giggled while thinking about such a tiny version of him. One with his pretty purple eyes. That'd be such a nice sight…
I woke up to my head pounding, the bright sun seeping through the window only making it worse. "Hatori…" My mouth felt so dry as I called out to him. His footsteps so loud as he neared. He placed a glass of water on the night stand before me, along with a couple white pills.
"What's the last thing you remember?" He asked as I quickly reached for the pills, taking them as I drank some much needed water.
"That I gave you those Pjs…” I told him. “And that I whined about me not making you feel special.” I grumbled under my breath. He chuckled while pressing a kiss to my forehead.
“I’ll try not to get you so drunk next time.” He tucked my hair behind my ear before resting his hand on my cheek. “I need to go… Make sure you drink plenty of water.”
“I will… I love you, Hatori.” I told him as I watched him linger in the doorway of my bedroom, his slender hand holding onto the door frame.
