It kind of worked out that martin and Ben could wear hats in those Victorian pix since their hairstyles aren't how they normally are.

I used to wear this white cowboy hat ALL THE TIME with the Lone Ranger star tied on it. It was the only hat that didn't fall off of me when Sam took off in a gallop, and that's why I always wore it. She couldn't stand it, though, so everytime I came near her with it on, she'd grab it and throw it or stomp on it so it got really beat up and eventually fell apart.

DUDE, geez, I remember when I first became the Hat God and proclaimed all should wear hats you had mentioned something about not having them or not being able to wear them (I can’t remember which since it was kinda a month or longer ago »;; ) BUT WOW NOW IT REALLY MAKES SENSE, that poor hat ;__;….but at least you can wear wonderful helmets~(and look SUPER COOL in them BD)

my fav hat has to be a black stetson without a brim fold other than that i like my green boonie and khaki army hat (google them if you wanna take a look)

OOOOoo, you reminded me I need to probably get a descent “cowboy” hat, the last time I had any cowboy hat it was this plastic thing (there’s a farm show that happens in a nearby city every year), and it’s probably way too small for me now anyway u_u

Bucket hats (which are boonie-like in my opinion) were actually I think the first type of hat I was semi-obsessed with (in my pre-hat awakening years)…I had this blue cameo one, and two from Disney world…um probably more but I can’t think of them off the top of my head »;

I do quite like the army hats, their short brim is usually more convenient for indoor places, and they’re not too different from baseball caps, which make up the majority of my hat collection. This one is probably my fav version of a military hat, although the fit is kinda big on my head OTL

It's far from my favourite hat but I was so determined to get a Guinness hat on St Patrick's day that I had to buy like, 20 pints of Guinness. I got the hat but I have never done the math to work out how much it really cost me. At nearly £4 a pint, I dread to think. Worth it though.

YOU KNOW, this actually reminds me when I was REALLY little there was this fishing…event, I don’t remember because I was really, really little but anyway there was this thing for kids where they could try casting at a target and I hit the target and won a hat *__*…I’m not sure where this hat is anymore, but I think that’s the only time I ‘earned’ a hat rather than buying one (that I can remember anyway)…they should give out more hats as prizes, methinks u_u

What do you think of the Eight-point cap/Gatsby cap/Newsboy cap?

(lol I know I’m skipping a lot of asks but I know how to answer this one)

Of course I love (or at least respect) all hats uwu, and the Gatsby cap is no exception~I actually named my Pokemon Y character this (I WENT WITH A HAT THEME, YOU CAN SEE MY TEAM HERE), and I have a friend who goes by Gatsby, so these hats are of course near and dear to my heart as well ^3^

But actually probably the number one association I have with this hat is because of my twin! My dear plot-tweest loves these types of hats and looks oh-so-good in them~(I’M ALSO GENERALLY JUST SUPER GLAD MY TWIN IS WEARING HATS TwT)

hATS for some reason right now i am thinking about Sweeney Todd's hat in the string of pearls. he has to dress up all super fancy in disguise to sell these pearls free of suspicion (because he killed a guy to get them) and apparently his hat is like this super fancy silk and three cornered thing

You know I should really get around to reading the literature pertaining to Sweeney Todd, because it’s one of my top two favorite musicals and I have to be honest with myself, he’s my number one favorite cannibal uwu (sorry Hannibal »; )…

OH! But I just Googled and it appears that The String of Pearls is online~! AND IT EVEN HAS A CHAPTER TITLED ‘THE DOG AND THE HAT’ (excerpt below though is not from that chapter).

Sweeney Todd took off his apron, and put on an immense coat with huge lapels, and then, clapping a three-cornered hat on his head, and casting a strange withering kind of look at Tobias, he sallied forth into the street.

HEH I was trying to search for a specific description of the hat (it’s probably a tricorne, I’m not sure what other three-cornered hats there are) but wasn’t having much luck, BUT nevertheless I will eventually be reading this if I remember *u*…lol don’t worry it won’t be for the hat, it will be for the Todd B)
