I just stumbled upon your art and I'm kind of in love with the cosmic-horror-meets-Keith-Haring aesthetic! What really did it for me though, as a linguistics person, is your emphasis on language. I can't remember the last time I've seen anything quite like this. Keep making awesome stuff!

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! I love Keith Haring's artwork, but I've never meant to consciously channel it. I think it's an interesting comparison though--you're like the third person to mention it!

Haunter of the Dark from Cthulhu Wars . Quickie for today... I was listening to "The Haunter of the Dark" by DART and just felt the urge to paint this guy. As I understand it, this guy is a mask of Nyarlathotep that is completely made of darkness, apart from his "three-lobed burning eye." . The sculpt makes him look "gooey", so I decided to try painting a lot of speculars to try for a "slimy" effect. I confess to rushing blends 'cause I've found really wet specular highlights are pretty stark and smoothing out the highlights makes the surface look a little matte.
