It's fun to be like "spock says all vulcans are like this but those are actually his individual traits that he doesn't want to have to defend to non vulcans" but I also really enjoy extrapolating about vulcan culture based on some patterns...especially his secrecy and privacy about things that nonvulcans never consider a secret. Secret brother, secret sister, "my ancestor married a human female" you mean your mom and dad, harold?!
They had that species on Enterprise who were super offended and disgusted by humans eating in public and consider it as private as defecating and it was played for shitty "haha foreigners amirite" laughs but I was fascinated...
In my au vulcans see humans being emotionally open with each other and it's similar to encountering a culture where acquaintances casually make out with each other on a bus or at the office. Imagine you start a new job and everyone there tickles each other daily. And you're like "uh don't...touch me" and they treat you like a stick in the mud because tickling is fun! Little children do it! Why don't you relax, weirdo?
Or "how many siblings do you have" is common small talk for most nonvulcans and to them it's like asking you to start spilling your guts about your most intimate relationships within five minutes of meeting.
And on the other hand, vulcans consider it rude to let someone else be incorrect about something but the nonvulcans hate being corrected! What a mess it could be
