Bear and Hawk are names always spoken in tandem, as no one ever sees one Weston brother without the other. They were born into the criminal Medina wolf pack of Los Angeles, a place where their father had carved a name for himself as a brutal and merciless figure. He was a cruel collector, often leaving people he visited hospitalized. But it was no facade he wore for work, as even behind closed doors, Jonas Weston remained violent and cold. Even their mother fell victim to his cruelty, succumbing to her injuries with only her sons at her side.
It was then that something snapped within the brothers, and just like that, Bear and Hawk knew instinctively what needed to be done. Despite only being teenagers, they were already hardened by the harsh realities of their upbringing and wasted no time. Jonas Weston disappeared a few months after their mother’s death, ending years of misery and violence. The brothers were independent enough to survive without a guardian, but the Medina pack offered them support and work to help keep them on their feet, eventually shaping the Weston brothers into trusted henchmen within the pack.
Hawk is known as the louder of the brothers, speaking for both of them or sitting back with an amused grin when Bear decides to open his mouth. He's a force to be reckoned with, and anyone who sees Hawk knows that it's about to get loud, or violent, or both. Together, there’s almost no hope for any respite but despite their frenzied ways of working, they take their job seriously. The two of them capable and unfazed by any grizzly task or violence.
When the war engulfed Los Angeles in 2020, Bear and Hawk managed to escape together and joined with another group of Medina survivors, led by Beckett Rhodes. They have remained with the group ever since, fairing well in the wilderness and doing whatever is needed to survive. There may not be anybody Bear and Hawk search for specifically, but both brothers agree that the group and pack is the only family they’ve ever known aside from one another. Even if Hawk can't stop complaining about the Canadian weather and asking why they couldn't go to Mexico instead.
