biohazard CREATURES 1/12 SCALE biohazard PREMIUM MODEL KIT バイオハザードプレミアムモデルキット MA-39ケルベロス 

 Paints and assembly by me - based on a pure black pinscher.

When I did this I was going through a very rough pain flare thus it was a nice low-effort-high-reward kind of kit, even if I only did very minor filing and zero filling because I was working with what supplies I had whilst unwell.

We’ve worked out how to rig and mount the bottom jaw complete with teeth. In the ugly stage at the moment as we build, anchor, putty, and cement the part composite together but Kyu and I are pretty (very) adept with files and sanders. Her head is going to be very solid with its full motion still which is exciting. 

We’ve also been drumming up the lore on Project Kolibri, aka Geno Breaker Type-K, which is horrifying and fun B) 

I love love love her gummy features and the bio-organic aspect it entails. Huehuehue.

Kyu and I spent this afternoon trimming and sanding resin pieces for Zoids.

Progress on the Pterasgordon -- more or less just need to build/detail legs then do any last detailing/cleanup required. I’m really loving this build, and the customisation is effective but also minimal meaning it’s been a lovely gentle affair for my first in over a year. 

Also still not over the CP022 colourset. The gold makes it pop even more while I work with it. Natural light shots outside when it’s done will easily show how it’s a cool grey-navy and not just super dark.

First kit I’m working on since Sally last year. I’ve had the rare Pteras CP022 parts for... like two years or so now and hadn’t gotten around to doing a build plan for it. 

My friend Libby suggested Pteragordon colours for the resin HM Raynos WF garage kit I got but then I thought ‘now wait, I have something that fits visually just as well’ and thus: Pteragordon Version is born. 

I have a lot of general cleanup to do on some of my detailing work, I’ve been doing this today on little to no sleep and while feeling incredibly ill so my steadiness hasn’t been there for some things but it’s easy to fix with a touch of lacquer thinner. All my accenting will be in gold/silver to match the build theme, but I think the mid bracket on the wing will get blue on it, and if I’m clever I’ll mask it off to do it like a lightning bolt to once again match the build theme. 

Which seems to be Masking Hell Funtimes tbh, vs Pteragordon, aha. 

I do like that this variant is both fun, a good refresher on techniques after not working on kits for so long, and a way of still keeping the gorgeous base colour of the special CP as a major focus still.

Zoids RZ-045  ♛ Salamander

I have wanted a Sally for years. I’d never been able to snag one when I first started getting into Zoids, back in my highschool days and when eBay was the only go-to at the time. When I got back into Zoids again, at least model kit side, via @kyuofcosmic I just didn’t think too hard about trying for one -- a lot of the ones I saw at the time were the Bombander ones which are cute but I’m not fond of the colour scheme (looks great on little fliers like the Raynos but not my fav on a big-mclarge-huge Sally.)

So my birthday rolled around this year and I got a special surprise from Kyu of a 2001 NJR release Sally! 

Having never seen one in person before I was surprised to see how big the unit was overall, and it’s spectacularly detailed for it. 

I didn’t want to change the colours on the Sally as I love the standard navy and silver, so I specifically stayed true to it with any alterations I did -- I shellac silver spackled the wings to amp up the base grey and then lined them. I did general detailing on all components where I could, and even painted her cute little toenails to make them pop. 

I really love this build. I started it back around my birthday and only just finished it now due to work and other health issues, and I loved every second of it.

Zoids Genesis GB-007  ♛ Bio Raptor Gui 

The mini Chrome Overlord is here! 

I.. have had this one done for a few months now but never went and got photos of it (due to multiple personal issues), and given it’s finally warm and there’s light when I get home from work I got some shots tonight. 

This little Bio Raptor Gui I snagged off of Y!J with @kyuofcosmic / @technofortomcats in a shared box, and I decided to make her match the lovely anime-accurate hel armour chromed Bio Raptor that Kyu did. Chroming that tiny armour, especially the wings with their crevices, was not fun in the slightest -- especially since the plate enamel is so thin that even masking only protects so much of the parts you don’t want chromed. 

The wing tips were all shellac treated with a stunning metallic blue, and the claws are all done with a spackled rich gold. Not much else was done to the body as the base blue is very nice and doing the wings made the body have a nice contrast overall. 

It’s such a tiny kit but I really love it.

Proper photos when it’s cured and it’s also not night and a work night, but I chromed my gui up to be more anime accurate since the hell armour on them is pretty shiny as, just like the raptors. Also did some touching up otherwise with shellac.
