I just wanted to ask what does “hawk fox(kin)” and “forestkin” mean! /nm /gq

Well they're a couple of my kintypes if that's what you meant, but I'll be more specific just in case! Both are primarily psycological for me.

A hawkfox is a type of creature in DND (dungeons and dragons) that is like a fox, but has feathers in some places, I'll find a picture to add in a moment. The (kin) part of it is to specify that it's an otherkin identity.

And forestkin is still being figured out for me, but it's an otherkin (possibly conceptkin but I'm still foggy about the definition of conceptkin so not yet) identity! For me it's that I feel as if I am a forest, and feel and think as if I were one. (Ex. I get protective of people/critters close to me and on occasion think of them as inhabitants/dwellers in my head. I get that it sounds strange, but it is true)

Hello saw a new ask game why not! (Memory ask game)

One of my few & faint memories is from my hawkfox kintype. It's a species from dnd, hence why I'm cool with sharing it on fictionkinfessions(tm /j)

It's from when I was a kind of kit, and I had a sibling or parent, I don't know which, probably both, just having someone. They played with me. It was lovely and horrible and fun. Feathers and ears were always in danger of a playful nip. Simple, and there were berries near the den I think. I still have a keen love of blackberries and I like to belive that's where it comes from. It was nice.

I also have memories of little roads, just single image picture memories but I was seemingly always on the move later in life.

If anyone wants to ask somethin about these (I encourage you to! I like talking) I can be referred to as Fox or Mute, thinking of trying out Feather too. It/its, ix/ixs if you must?

🐯: Do you wish you were your kintype? Why or why not?

Sometimes yes. When no, it's because none of my close irl friends or partners (/p) are my 'types and I think I would be lonely. When yes because I really miss my paws and running with wind in my feathers and my tail and having the right maw. That's for my foxtypes at least.

I usually don't feel like I want to be the forest anymore though. It's mostly because it's purely psycological.

💚: What’s your favorite thing about your kintype? (The species, creature, etc)

I think it's probably my feathers laced into my tail. And the fact that it's kind of fluid! I flow between different foxes a lot, like fennec to grey to hawkfox to humanoid.

My forest kintype is.. different but it gives me an amazing way to cope with loss and such. The mindset is very helpful. Probably sounds strange but it's true. The forest lives for decades, and it must learn to deal with loss and life or it will fall silent with grief.

☀️: What was your awakening like? When was it?

I responded to this one in my previous answer I belive! But long story short it... didn't really happen? Slowly is the best answer. Ongoing is the most acurate.

Oh my goodness anon I'm so sorry about how long this has taken. I haven't been doing super great. Better now though.

Well I think of them (and myself) as a creature with a fox based body, with feathers scattered around, sometimes even fully replacing fur in some places. I had a feathered tail and feathers on the backs of my legs and some on my spine and head.

They may be like Enfields? To be honest looking at the emfield wiki, I seem more like a non-humanoid Brusher enfield than a hawkfox. They're similar that's for sure at least. Sorry if this didn't help? I may expand on this later if I think of something.

Is it really so bad to want to wear all my gear and go to a forest in the mountains and feel amazing? Is that not okay? I want to be home. I'd even settle for like. Leaving the city. Please. I need something. Gonna ask family if we can go somewhere soon methinks.
