Zoids is first and foremost a toy franchise, which yes has a long back story, but that is it’s origins. Any other media from games (yes, even keitai games), music, and animation/movies is secondary. 

We don’t need localisation in a very JP-heavy (as in 98% of major fanbase and active consumers) franchise. The internet and fandoms will pick up where other big companies won’t tbh. Hasbro fucked us over years ago so no one is going to touch shit with a ten foot pole. 

‘Whaaa but what about those of us in the west?’ 

It’s a Japanese company producing toys for the japanese market of which has been solidly producing kits since the 80s, and then subsequent merchandise and media since the 90s for the japanese market of which this is rooted in of which has it’s main selling point as toys.

It was the only scan from the artbook I publicly shared. I watermarked it because no one else de-spined a whole second copy of the book to archive the artworks in it (privately) and because I didn’t want it being freeshot onto other sites. 

I asked Arita himself if it was okay to share that sole piece from the book, because the artbook was an in-house project that took them ages to get the go-ahead for, on CV for my base-set scans page 

To which he said yes. 

So don’t steal my goddamn scans. 

Especially when you don’t have the permissions to damn well post it.

Guess what? Pom dance cheering is very widespread worldwide despite it’s US origins (vs. the other dance styles showcased), hence worldwide listed for it. Look at the current list of major countries that partake majorly in it: 

Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

It’s not about the US all the time guys.
