Been visiting some shops today which sell wellies. First of all ASDA’s. They had some simpel PVC black glossy wellies, not unattractive but I have too many of those pairs already. After that I visited Moles Country Stores. They had a wide variety of wellies, including Dunlop, Le Chameau, Aigle, Nora and Joules. But I spotted one brand of wellies that I had never heard of before: Hawkridge
They are made of natural rubber and would appear to be made by the same factory in China that makes the official Hunter wellies, as the design is identical in every way. The height of the plain colored Hawkridge wellies is however about half an inch lower than original Hunters, but the model with the doggy print on them (last picture - I call them “woofs”) was even a fraction taller than Hunter Original Tall wellies. I was very fascinated by them. I compared them in the store to Le Chameau Chasseur and Michelin boots, but the Hawkridge “Woof” wellies were taller. I compared them to Aigle Parcours II and Joules wellies, but the Hawkridge were taller. Very much tempted to get a pair for myself...
