“I think that’s my cue,” he mumbled to himself, looking up at the dark night sky as the thunder rumbled. The pouring rain wouldn’t be far behind and so he helped himself to a couple bottles of un-opened beer left on top of a table involved in the street party. Jace weaves through the crowd towards Hayden, giving a loud, distinct whistle to grab her attention as he rocks up into her space. “Wife of mine, fancy seeing you here,” he teases, holding out one of the bottles for her. “I’m about to dip out before the heavens piss all over us, you wanna come with?”

Luke didn’t expect to leave his house again after he got back home from Danny’s release party. He didn’t stay long there, given he just wanted to say hi to him and chat with some of the new friends he made last time at Trey’s party for a little. He shared a few drinks with them, but not enough to consider himself being drunk so he could perfectly walk back home, given he lived down the same street. He was studying the script of his upcoming movie as he enjoyed an Old Fashioned by himself when he received Hayden’s texts. 

The blonde still intrigued him as she still didn’t have any idea of who he actually was. But it was nice to finally be able to talk to someone just being ‘Luke’, he forgot when was the last time that even happened. They only properly interacted once, when he met her at The Mad Batter but they’ve been exchanging text messages ever since. He requested an Uber Black that didn’t take long to arrive so he got to Danny’s place really soon. Rolling the window down, he spotted her waiting at the door, “Hey there blonde gem... are you ready to get some fresh air? You look like you really need that right now”
