Hayseed let out a strained grunt as he set another bear trap on the ground. He used his hands to cover it with dirt and dead leaves effectively concealing it. This had been the third trap this week that been set off without a rhyme or reason. Usually he’d catch a few stray animals that were unlucky enough to trigger one of his steal traps. He didn’t think much of it at first but as time went on it put him more on edge. Not a single soul had visited his farm since the accident and he’d made sure to keep it that way for a long time. But now it seems someone or something was wondering the grounds and messing with his traps, or just got lucky enough not to get caught in them.
The sound of a steal trap clamping shut caught the scarecrow’s attention. He stood quickly looking towards corn field, excitement burning through his body. A giggle bubbled in his throat as he made his way towards the field,” I hear you,” He chimed, a metallic edge to his voice,” Come out and play.”
