Phew, okay, two books down!
I like Wake the Devil a lot more than Seed of Destruction because it has a lot less weirdly poetic narration and there is more of a BPRD presence in it, but later Hellboy is still the best for me, starting probably with the third book. It is nice to see the art style evolving, though maybe a little distracting if you pay too much attention to it.
So much lore in both of these books that either will or will not be significant someday, haha...
