Birthdays came and went, and soon enough Apple moved out, wanting to start a life of her own.

Silver Bells: I’ll miss you AB!

Apple Blossom: Not as much as I’ll miss you, Sil.

We didn’t risk letting Ivory or Mom come out into the sun as well, not wanting to lose another one of us. Me, Fig, and Apple ran out to see what had happened. While we sobbed, Mama just stared ahead, tears on her cheeks. She was never the same after that..

Dove: Please! She’s just a little girl! It was her birthday tomorrow..

But Death said nothing, dismissing her with a shake of its head. Mama’s wails were loud enough for the rest of us to hear.

Artemisia: Mama.. I don’t feel so good.

Dove: Oh Berry... It’s going to be okay sweetie. You’re going to be okay.

Her host family was two vets named Sky and Min Tea Crush. They, at the time of applying for being a host, had no kids, but soon after she arrived they found out they were expecting. Nevertheless, it didn’t slow them down.

Silver quickly adjusted into the new house, which was far bigger than she was used to. Poor girl worked on her project all night long, and ended up exhausted for school.

Silver Bells: UGH! Need. Sleep. Now.
