So it’s not a character, but do you have any headcanons for the Abbey of the Everyman and its Overseers you’d like to share? (Sorry I know it’s technically not part of the prompt ^^’)
I've gotten a few asks about groups or cultures, so here's a misc list:
- Each country does have their own language, though Gristolian is taught throughout the Empire.
- Northern Serkonan sounds choppy, but becomes more fluid as you travel south.
- Morlayan has a rythem to it, and slang varies a lot, even from village to village.
- Tyvian sounds very rough and even angry, especially in more remote places.
- Pandissyan is only known by the natives there, though there are samples of what the language looks like, and it is often compared to look like heretical languages. Pandissyan itself sounds sharp and to the point, with quick, short phrases.
- Though he claims to stay out of other gang wars, Daud as traded favors for Lizzy Stide for years, but also with Mr. Hat.
- Burning dead comrades on pyres is tradition in The Whalers.
- Slackjaw isn't that opposed to The Abby since the whole Granny Rags thing.
- The Abby will put down Hounds that get too old to work. Overseers will sometimes sneak out with said old dogs and give them to small City Watch outposts, knowing that the gaurds will treat it as mascot and spoil it.
