Kurt's a Hufflepuff. Scott's a Gryffindor and so are Alex and Darwin who are both alive BECAUSE I SAID SO. Pietro's a Slytherin, and so is Wanda (but in her case she asked to be put there to make sure her brother would have a friend because /she/ knows he's a wonderful person but sometimes other people have trouble seeing that. What with his issues regarding other people's property). Jean's a Ravenclaw, Jubes got to choose between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor and just went 'Um, badger badger badger
(2) and Ororo's a Slytherin. And Erik is head of Slytherin and he will /fight you/ if you start bad mouthing his house or his kids, only he's allowed to do that... And Hank is head of Ravenclaw and teaches multiple classes and of course he doesn't have a time turner, why do you ask? And Mystique is a Slytherin but /so much/ about house unity that people forget that.

I’m hearing what you’re saying of course, but Darwin is a Slytherin from a long line of Ravenclaws. He shocked everyone when he got sorted, but he was ambitious enough that the hat was hardly on his head before it sorted him. (and then he caused a huge scandal in the summers family when he started dating Alex.) Anyway he and alex open up a volatile magic shop for people whose magical abilities are dangerously powerful, like Alex’s or Jean’s. It’s in hogsmeade and all of the kids that they help go there when they get hogsmeade visits and Alex and Darwin make lunch for them and listen to how their days have gone and they’re happy and when Scott’s abilities develop dangerously like Alex’s did, he goes to live with them for a while before going to Hogwarts to learn full control. He had no idea that Darwin and Alex were actually dating (no one really knows, aside from Alex’s mom, because the family was mad enough when Alex brought his slytherin friend home for winter hols, okay, he’s not sure how they’ll feel about him actually /dating/ Darwin. Scott watches them interact and is like “that is what love looks like, ew” because he’s ten years old and people still have cooties, and he doesn’t want to admit that he wants a relationship like that. he’ll admit it later when he realizes he likes Jean, and runs to Alex for relationship advice, though.
As for my children. Listen, the twins were sorted when they were eleven and were raised by muggles. They were literally all that each other knew and while this hogwarts place is kind of cool, it’s also really scary. But they’re their mother’s children, and they can handle this. But no way were they separating that easily, so when Pietro was sorted to Slytherin Wanda didn’t give the hat a choice in the matter. It helped that the Hat saw her boundless ambition and went “eh, okay”
Jean’s magic is hectic and she really can’t control it sometimes, not even through her wand (which has cracked too many times to count. She’s thinking of studying wandmaking in her spare time to try and find something that will hold up under the weight of her magic. She also considers making one for Wanda, because the poor girl’s magic is rooted in chaos energy and no wand can hold up under the stress of that. It becomes her pet project) 11 year old Jubes picked hufflepuff because badgers are adorable and yellow is her favorite color, and she also likes the sound of “loyalty among friends” or whatever it was.
I feel like Ororo was definitely a hatstall between gryffindor and slytherin, because she values courage above all else, but at the same time she wants to be the very best and make something of herself (girl was a literal goddess for a while, okay?) so after the longest silence in sorting hat history the hat goes “hummmmmmm..... slytherin..........?” and Ororo’s like finally my toes were falling asleep and she hops down and sits next to the other new snake children.
Everyone is a little scared of Erik, but they also know that he’s the sweetest when you genuinely need help. He’s like the Gordon Ramsay of slytherin house.
Hank is that “cool” teacher who everyone likes because he clearly loves his job and the kids, and he stole a time turner when he worked for the ministry
Mystique is the transfiguration teacher, but I actually think she’s a hufflepuff. She’s so much about loyalty and trust, but everyone forgets what house she was in because she spent so much of her time trading uniforms with her boys to promote house unity that everyone forgot.
Charles is a gryffindor, though, through and through.
