Well. Hm. The most immediate impression I have is that you should not date Skeleton King. Unless you are in, some grim way, excited at the idea of being suprise murdered. But, but, I understand the power is enticing. The same virtues that make him terrifying make him a sight to behold.

Ah, well, before you possibly become a mess of person-goo or ash in the future, he may fawn over you like a little pet. Don’t expect him to devote his every waking hour to you--you will be secondary to his work. Uh, more power to you if you want to live a life in subservience with affection that is self-serving and disingenue at its core...I guess. There are probably nastier details to be had here, but I’ll leave that to your imagination.

As I write SK interacting w his servants more and more, I'm noticing a tendency to go back and forth on how he treats them―scaring them where he feels it necessary, but also employing a charm and charisma otherwise. Giving praise, but only so it will hurt twice as bitterly when he revokes his good favor. He wants to make his underlings fall in love with praise and approval to foster devotion and obedience. I feel like I forget to let his appeal play into things.

I like the idea of nasty characters like SK having an inexplicable charisma that allures servants, partially from the power they promise to those servants, but also ofc the psychological component--the fucked up emotional competence. You know??

I’ve been cooking new things for myself which, you know, spurred me into thinking about food. Verdict is that Alchemist would like making ramen for himself, Quint likes seafood.

Justification for Al--it’s relatively easy to make, even with the added vegetables and proteins. I can just see him getting slurps of it in between working on something, still in his lab coat, goggles pulled up.

As for Quint, I like incorporating his nautical theme where I think it fits. Who is to say he couldn’t be from a seaside town, too? Anyway, you throw a shark-like man at me, I’ll say why not--why not say he likes seafood. On one hand I can see grilled fish, but I can also imagine him just shoveling sushi in his face.

--Not to entirely forget Skeleton King. Besides bugs, I see him being the type who would like whole meats or fermented foods. First things that come to mind are balut especially and fermented fish. Doesn’t mind if something has a strong odor and prefers anything that’s the whole (or mostly whole) animal. Insert joke about keeping up on calcium.
