something your muse could never forgive.

something? someone. her father. next.

but no joke deadbeat parents are one of those don’t @ her subjects. especially the ones who wanted nothing to do with / squandered every opportunity to be with their kids during their formative years and only sought a relationship once no real effort was needed on their part to raise them. which,  yeah,  optimists might think is nice because  ‘ HEY ! IT’S AN EFFORT,  RIGHT? ’

it’s not. it’s a slap in the face for those handful of people who’ve moved along with their lives just fine without ‘em. it’s piggybacking on their own success raising themselves to be better than their folks. she finds the action as a whole unforgivable.

that’s just her personal and openly bias opinion,  though.

habits and mannerisms.

mj talks with her hands. a lot. she’s an animated person, expressive, using languid, flowy gestures as subconscious emphasis.

when she’s impatient she tends to shift her weight between feet. most people think she has to pee.

her posture is en pointe. practiced confidence has lent itself to this entire plank straight,  shoulders back and relaxed appearance. the only time she’s slump - city is in the privacy of her own home,  go figure. 

for habits,  mary jane tends to bite her nails while thinking. not necessarily to tear them off,  but rather chews on them. it’s gross,  tell her to stop. nails aren’t as clean as washing your hands might suggest.

she’s also super big on those exaggerated, head lolling, eye rolls.

last random bit : mj is a ‘ by section ’ eater. if a plate has clearly divided portions she won’t take bites from each,  she’ll finish one then move on.

how your muse responds to danger.

her logic is a big argument on semantics : mary jane doesn’t do danger,  despite how much she jokes around about it. risks,  sure,  but not danger. and she’s always based it on mortality rate. when dealing with risk there’s a chance of injury or consequence. big whatever. if it’s dangerous,  someone’s life is being gambled with and she’s not about to play those odds. a lot less whatever.

it’s well ingrained in her personality to react with purpose under duress. she doesn’t engage with the thing(s), place, or person(s) causing said danger  —  and she doesn’t dip if there are others around who might need an adrenaline jump start ala loud lady yelling at them to move. the minute that coast is clear though she’s outtie. she’s gone. she’s going to go have a nice sit on a park bench and work through an anchoring mechanism.

her ‘ bravery ‘ is solidly between a city pigeon and preschool teacher after a fire drill interrupted nap time.

what items can be found in your muse’s pockets?

chapstick  (  she has like 80 tubes that circulate and no idea where the chapstick gnomes hide ‘em  )  phone,  patience for people who stop mid - traffic - flow and block a whole length of sidewalk. they exist in the land of itty bitty pockets,  not much else can fit in there.
