but no joke deadbeat parents are one of those don’t @ her subjects. especially the ones who wanted nothing to do with / squandered every opportunity to be with their kids during their formative years and only sought a relationship once no real effort was needed on their part to raise them. which, yeah, optimists might think is nice because ‘ HEY ! IT’S AN EFFORT, RIGHT? ’
it’s not. it’s a slap in the face for those handful of people who’ve moved along with their lives just fine without ‘em. it’s piggybacking on their own success raising themselves to be better than their folks. she finds the action as a whole unforgivable.
