lets talk about my son, donny.
( landon liboiron, cis male, he/him ) see them in the BLACK suit? that’s DONOVAN MICHAELS, the TWENTY-NINE year old DOCTOR that works in MEDBAY. i’ve heard they have a penchant for ALONE TIME and a burning hatred of CONSPIRACY THEORIES. on their good days, they’re known to be EMPATHETIC and HUMOROUS, but watch out… when things get bad, they can get RECLUSE and PASSIVE. think they can be trusted?

he’s one of those natural born smart types, he skipped a couple of grades in middle school and was in highschool when he was only 13. that lead him to be mostly exiled by his peers considering he was so smart for his age, but in such a higher level of learning. no one wanted to hang out with the young smart kid so he was able to focus on his studies and actually graduate top of his class.
he got a scholarship to yale when he graduated and didn’t miss a beat. no vacation for him he didn’t even want it, it’s not like he had a solid group of friends to go hang out with because to be honest, he could have had more friends by senior year he just didn’t try to.
he had an easier time in college, because people more praised him for being so young and no one really had the same standards as in highschool. he made a couple of really, really good friends there especially in his later years when people more around his age started to go.
flash forward he finishes college and is a proper Doctor. He could go work anywhere he wanted but for once, he gave himself a break. Relaxing for a year he was scrolling through his favorite websites for latest in technology and read about CHARYBDIS and he just knew he had to be part of it.
after applying to be a doctor on the crew and being accepted, he thought maybe this was a chance for him to rebrand himself again. in college he really grew into himself and matured but he was tired of just being the smart guy -- he wanted to be more. alas, this plan didn’t really pan out. still awkward, still distant, but a little more humorous he learned a lot about himself on this trip and to be honest? He’s just ready to go home.

i need to double check with the admin how long they’ve all been together but i’m assuming there’s a lot of room for people to have those connections uhhh here’s some off the top of my head.
MORNING RUNS. every morning Dono goes for a run around the ship because he has too much energy, and it keeps his mind sane. this could be someone who caught him on those runs and also does it or they saw him doing it for a while before finally deciding to join him for the early morning jog.
NEIGHBORS. this person has a room right next to him, this is open to 3 people, left, right, and across. we can branch the relationships out as much as you want or whatever chem comes up with.
EXES. my son is pansexual, panromantic and while he’s awkward and standoffish, it’s possible he had a little fling or two with some of his crewmates. probably ended on good terms but we can have some bad terms too lets go awkward tension
ENEMIES. this is hard to plot out without knowing the chem i know but anyone he could have a rivalry with, whether it be someone else working in medbay or somewhere else on the ship and he just gave them a nasty attitude once or something eyeeee don’t know
DOCTOR’S FAVORITE. c’mon everyone has a favorite who is Donny’s favorite person to scan and check in -- we can leave this up to chem too but you know.
