VSMP but . . . the past catches up :
Tango & Gem
💛 Tango is Scott’s sire
💛 Despite how Scott turned out in all his vampiric practices, he was taught many lessons, namely to not take advantage of people and to always have consent
💛 . . . at least Scott sort of understood that lesson? (/j)
💛 The reality of it is that Tango didn’t have enough time to teach Scott everything
💛 Reason being that he’s essentially the mayor Graywick, and so he can’t be away for long
💛 Despite this, he and Scott often wrote letters to one another for several centuries, until one letter couldn’t get past the door
💛 . . . and then another
💛 . . . and then the entire manor office was covered in letters, worn and melted and stained
💛 The manor had fallen into the clutches of the curse, as had its occupant
💛 And while, yes, Tango could leave, it was better that the curse stayed in town than spread
💛 So that was several decades of wasting in decay until some wandersome hermits aided him, one being a golden-clad knight
💛 The knight was well aware of Tango being inhuman—in more ways than one—but spoke no word of it, simply offering his aid
💛 Upon being freed, Tango had one goal in mind: find Scott
💛 And luckily for him, his friendly knight was willing to tag along, too
Song : Wow, I’m Not Crazy (Live from the Hollywood Bowl) by AJR
💚 Gem is Louis’ sire and practically his best friend
💚 Though, they didn’t meet till Louis was already mayor, and how they met is actually quite odd
💚 With no residential lumberjack (yet), Oakhurst was prone to fires often, and while buildings had to often be rebuilt, one was saved from such a fate
💚 Pearl and Gem had been traveling around and Pearl—with her knack of always finding fires to put out—lept at the opportunity to save the mayor some work
💚 This allowed the three to form a very close bond which would see them through many hardships
💚 One such being Pearl’s death at the hands of rowdy townsfolk
💚 With the turning of Owen alongside this, the two began to lose touch, but Gem never entirely lost contact with Louis
💚 She often flew over Oakhurst to relive the fonder and easier moments of her life, and one such night, there was a lonesome pyre burning
💚 This was when she decided enough was enough, and upon aiding some odd hermits in their trial to free Graywick from a curse, she convinced Tango to get up and search for the last of their vampiric lineages
