yo! hey do you mind me asking how you did your hair? like did you bleach and color it yourself and if so what products you used/how you did it? i've been thinking about doing mine silver but i wanna do it well, yanno?

I went to the salon to get my hair done (I never could have done it myself), but I can give you a rough rundown of what the hairdresser did:

My hair was dark brown, so it had to be bleached twice. The second time was only for 10 minutes to get out the yellowy colour on the longest parts of my fringe.

Once all the bleached was washed out, the hairdresser applied silver toner to my hair. Unlike normal dye, it can be applied to dry hair without any prep and it will actually turn your hair a weird ashy colour, but for silver you need your hair to be bleached & wet. It literally worked within seconds because it literally just stains the bleach rather than dying your hair, if that makes sense. Every time she scraped away some of the toner to see my hair, it was a little bit more silver. You just keep rubbing it in until you’re happy with the colour and then you wash it out.

The whole process took about 2 hours, it was so tiring. And I still have to go to the store to find silver shampoo and probably a tube of toner if I want to redo the silver, because it washes out really fast.

Anyway, I hoped this helped! Your hair isn’t much longer than mine, so the process would be much the same for you. And if you’re brave enough to do it yourself, you’ll be saving quite a bit of money. I nearly cried when the hairdresser told me it was going to cost $200
