As you all probably knew, I was a fan of undertale before I got to hetalia. Not to mention, I headcanon(ed?) Romano for having a determination soul aka color red.
This was important because a key concept in building the Reverse au is based on reversing personality and soul of the original characters
Which means that Ilario’s soul color is green while the rest of the Romanos (except cardverse) is red
Okay, to review there are 8 main soul types. We have red (determination), orange (bravery), yellow (justice), green (kindness), blue (patience), indigo (integrity) and violet (perseverance).
The difference between this concept and the undertale definition is that all color of souls are equal in terms of power. This means it does not follow the rule that red is stronger than green or violet is weaker then yellow type of thing.
The strength of a person is overall based on their personality, not on their soul color. So you can expect that a kindness (green) soul can and will commit violence if needed.
The soul colors are almost compared to the MBIT types. Their soul colors only identify a character’s default personality in terms of making decisions. In other words, just because you usually choose not to fight, does not mean you won’t choose not to fight in the future.
Honestly, soul color is not the focus of the parallel universes. Half of the time, most of them wouldn’t know that their souls have different colors. The only useful information that anyone could get from soul colors is their relationship to the universe.
The relationship between a character’s soul color and the universe that they are currently residing in is measuring said character’s magical potential
Magic potential meant a person’s ability to summon and control magic. This does not measure, however, the strength of their magic/ power.
For example: Red colored souls have more magic potential in a Red shaded universe (red, violet, orange) compared when they live in a Blue universe.
Hence why Lovino is the only character (so far) that has not yet given the ability to do “various” things into the void.
This does not mean they don’t have the ability to control magic, it just means it will take a lot longer for them to learn it.
To summarize, reference to soul color will only happen when they talk about magic abilities. Further information will be added in later events.
This is the most threatening pin I have ever seen (in mobile ofcourse)
That aside let me just lay how I choose the random secret
I let the random number generator choose a number from 1-5. The number corresponds to the four Romanos:
1- Lovino
2- Chiara
3- Flavio
4- Ilario
and 5 is the overall lore of the void
so the first number is:
Skip this if you don’t want spoilers. You are warned.
I won’t exactly tell you the whole secret but I’ll give you hints
I’ve underlined (or circled) some words here that you might’ve encountered when I posted these not to long ago
No one pointed them out, but I’ll tell you right now that those words DID NOT COME FROM ILARIO.
Clue here is the color, how it’s calling Lovino, “Roma” and how the words are fading at the same time lapse as Lovino waking up.
Can it be the sleeping in the void is more than just resting? Could this be connected to the other reason why Ilario sleep so much. What do you think are the dreams that you will get from sleeping in the void?
I remember that in hetalia Lovino is smaller than his brother because the south of italy is smaller than the north so if ilario is so short is maybe because his part of south italy is smaller than in the other universes
Wait.. seriously??? That was the thing? I thought it was based on the average height of a person in that country.
Since if you look at it, if we are going from the largest country to smallest country, germany wouldn’t be the second tallest representation, it would be canada.
So yeah, I follow that they are mostly based on average height.
However, due to himaruya’s inconsistency with height (since eastern europeans are tall but latvia is so short), I’ve included another ingredient for height (as a headcanon) maturity.
Maturity level is measured on how the government, culture, economic was growing in the country. If a government feels like they don’t need to change, then it lessens the effect of height growth on the country’s representation. It’s mostly part of the growth process of nations.
I didn’t research on this though, since it was more on mun trying to make sense on Latvia’s height... but I’ve already convinced myself that this was a reason why he is too short.
So to relate it with Ilario, something happened to him that prevented him to grow and mature. Whether because he was resitant to the growth or not, the effects were massive.
Of course you right about the height of the other characters but i was only speaking about the one of Romano so What you said explain why Flavio is the taller, it’s interresting 🤔 sorry about that i’ll never ask you but at least I tried, I’m pretty bad with that...
Awwww dont be!! I’m happy that you are actually inputting your ideas and contribute making things clear for this blog. Afterall, mun isn’t strong when it comes to language, hence why some of the images seem to lose their tension once you read the script and all that. Soo thank you for your input!!
But yes, that’s the reason why Flavio is slightly taller than Lovino (despite being both 5’7)
hc event - Do you have a social cause or charity that you are passionate about? Why?
There are a few I am passionate about like Doctors without Borders, Crisis Text Line and Trevor Project.
All of these help those in all different parts of life, from needing help because of a endemic disease to talking to someone because they’re not in a good place. I honestly want people to get any assistance they need, in any part of the world.
hc event - What is your favorite book? Why? Do you reread it? Does it have a connection in your life?
I constantly am re-reading the Harry Potter books, cover to cover. It’s just...there is always something to learn from the series and honestly just fall more in love with it.
It takes me back to simpler times, to escape the world and enjoy the magic that Hogwarts brings.
