❝ Heart Of Gold ❞
It broke his heart, the sight of such a small creature shrieking in a pain that would make even the person with the darkest of souls cringe. The small orange feline within his arms was on its side and struggling to capture air in its lungs and find some piece, Jonghyuns brows were knit tightly as he finished adjusting the small makeshift cast onto the small appendage of the orange kitten back left leg. It wasn't professional but it would get the job done and cost the owner a hell of a lot less, his heart was always at its purest when he worked on animals.
Given his cold exterior and sharp facial features ( where he always looked pissed off ) his heart swelled and melted at the passionate desire to help them. They had hold of his heart at a young age, they were quiet and loving and always there when you needed them. If you were a proper trainer they even had a bond with you, Jonghyun must have been an animal in his past life - they were always drawn to him no matter their state of mind.
His mother had always found it endearing and she was the one that ultimately planted the career choice in his head, with his practices and owning a dog himself he had a couple choices medicines in his cabinets that suppressed pain. With the cat in arms, to exhausted from screaming in pain prior to move much now.
Jonghyun did his best to move as little as possible for the creatures sake, a free arm pushing around the miscellaneous bottles of medicines looking for the proper weight and species. A small "ah" fell from his lips as he pulled the small bottom from the cabinet and placed it on the counter.
Petting along the spine of the animal he finally inspected the collar ( thank god it had one or he'd be tempted to keep it ) and squinted his eyes to view the engravings. Holangi, Jang Hyeon. Followed by an address to a house. He gave a sigh of relief, one because something so cute had a home and because any temptation to keep it for himself had been washed away with the determination to get it back to their rightful owner.
"Holangi? Aigo, so cute!" he hummed in content to himself, his lips cracking into a wide spread grin as he brought the tips of his fingers onto the top of the cats head and gently scratched between its ears. "Lets get you home" he murmured ( yes to the cat ).
Choosing to walk, riding a motorcycle with one hand was not only dangerous, but also painfully loud and bumpy. On foot had seemed to be the best choice, it would be quite the walk but he had to thank a higher power that the weather was acceptable for such a walk.
Roughly forty five minutes and he had found himself standing in front of a two story white house, glancing down at the collar again he looked back up towards the house and finally decided he was in the right place. There was a small amount of trepidation that came with approaching a neighbors house with their injured animal, he had hoped the woman didn't get the wrong idea ( if it even is a womans cat ) and hopefully they took it more as a blessing that their pet was okay.
Knocking on the door with his knuckles thrice he let out a sigh, thirsty and even gaining an apatite, he decided that when he was done here he would treat himself to a large meal. Establishing that he had already done his cardio for the day and also reminded at how out of shape he was.
