Athenide AU- At the Big House, after Perse woke up after fighting the Minotaur. Grover brings her to talk to Chiron and Mr. D on the porch.
When Mr. D catches a glimpse of his mothers' lookalike, he hides his face in his pinochle cards, trying to appear totally busy.
Perse: What's going on?
Grover: You're a demigod, Perse.
Perse: A what?
Chiron: trying to break it to her gently. It means you have gods in your family.
He looks at Perse, waiting for the moment it clicks that her absent father is a god.
Perse: I see. She rubs her chin contemplatively Gods in my family. Gods…
*She suddenly looks up and points at Dionysus, still busy hiding behind his cards.*
So he's my son!
Dionysus.exe has stopped working. His pinochle cards rain down like surprised confetti.
Grover: Blahaha, do you know that is? That's-
Perse: My son!
Her eyes crinkle happily, just like Sally's. Dionysus chokes. She smiles just like his mother- bright and beaming, and just a little crooked, like she's sharing a joke with only him
Chiron: Ah, no, Ms. Jackson. That is Dionysus, our resident god and camp direction.
Perse: And my son! Just look! He has my dark hair! Dionysus continues to mentally scream inside his head You said I had gods in my family; you never said which direction!
Chiron: too old for this Sure. Just… sees Annabeth Annabeth! Come take Perse (away from here. I'm too old for this.) to Hermes cabin!
