i don’t like it when people write eddie calling you a “dirty pathetic whore” & “nasty little slut”, or any other derogatory names. it feels so out of character for him imo, and i know that ppl write things that THEY want and i get that and support it 100%— u do u. it just makes me feel sad :’-(

i just feel like people project so much on to him. the way some parts of this fandom characterize him is so different. some often just use him as a place holder for a fantasy of a totally different character.

that doofus is all love and praise. yes he can be rougher and more dominant, but i don’t think he’d ever call you names like that.

he’s spent his entire life being demeaned and called mean names, why would he want to re-live that ever, but esp. while he’s having sex. it just doesn’t make sense to me :-//

and this isn’t me just not liking that sort of dirty talk in general, i do like it! but only when i feel like it fits the character….ya know? like certain AU’s i totally get, but when its just eddie as himself it feels off.

with all that said, another disclaimer— anybody can write any character in any way they want. me saying this is not demanding or saying anybody needs or should change the way they write him, and that’s not my goal. i am simply expressing my opinion! not trying to yuck anyone’s yums :-)
