It was far too late at night for most decent people to be awake and yet for Malakiah his day had just begun a few hours ago. He had all but become nocturnal since moving here. His craving for Calamity’s night life kept him sleeping most of the day and wide awake at night. On this particular evening he had gotten himself into a bit of trouble. His need to make a mess of a good thing landed him in some hot water with a jealous vampire. She had seemed rather irratated the moment Kia paid her boyfriend an ounce of attention but when he had flirted with Kia things got ugly. 

There were names tossed around before she grabbed him and tried to land a few punches. It seemed with the Slaughter Ring going on everyone was quick to draw blood. Which, Kia was more than happy to partake in. In a matter of seconds things had gone from some friendly banter to a fight to Kia being pushed out of the bar by some bouncers. He called profanities after the vampire, wings flared and flapping as he forced from the bar. The bouncer had all but picked him up off the ground before shoving him into the street. 

Malakiah would have retained his balance thanks to his wings flaring out to catch his weight but most of his weight landed on his left leg, his weak leg. He crumpled and fell backwards on his back in the middle of the sidewalk. His head landing between some ones legs. Looking up at them, Kia smiled brightly, one hand raising to rub the back of his head. “I’d love to say this is the worst way I’ve run into someone but that would be a lie.” He admitted in greeting to the other.
