boone travels with the courier 6. if he’s not traveling with the courier, he begrudgingly hangs out at lucky 38 / new vegas with the other companions.

though NCR was withdrawing from the region, boone remained in new vegas, finding work as a security guard and caravan scout along the highways.    while he might've preferred rejoining his old unit, boone couldn't bring himself to abandon the city where he'd met his wife.

my variant is that it is strictly for INDEPENDENT new vegas under the courier’s reign, who boone works closely with keeping the peace. he’s better at leaving bitter springs behind him, even if the ghosts still linger in his mind.

THIS isn’t quite the future boone saw for himself--he always imagined going down in a blazing glory as he ripped apart caesar with his bare hands. no, truth be told, he didn’t think he’d be ALIVE to see thirty-two. before carla’s death, he might’ve imagined them being HAPPY together with their child. now he’s the head of security for THE COURIER -- keeping new vegas in line. it’s the SAFEST it’s ever been under his watch. caesar’s long since dead, and boone takes pleasure in ridding any scraps of the legion left behind. he adjusts his sunglasses and rests against the outside wall of the lucky 38. sometimes, he just likes to watch. he’s never been a social butterfly, but it’s always interesting to watch others. there’s new faces around today, but THEN there’s someone walking up to him. . . his lips purse together, and he doesn’t move from his spot. “what?” he spares her a glance with the only indication being the slight turn of his head. | @faunahymn
