I wrote this lyrics for the main fictional character of my novel, "The Pilot."
The Pilot is a literary fiction. It's a story about love, hopes, dreams and even illusions. It's a prose with poetic inspiration, metaphors and allegorical expressions. It's a fantasy romance as one of its characters is a ghost. However, it is also a spiritual novel that speaks about angels and unexplained communications between Earth and Heaven. There is something mysterious and mystic. The story is a mix of realistic life events and relationships and something mystical as well.
Wasn't tagged at all, but saw it by @gettingbyi and wanted to take part. 👉👈😅
1. The last book I read: Project Hail Mary.
I saw the movie first, but since im not good at chemistry and physics, only biology, that actually was very helpful for understanding some of the really scientific jargon of the book.
I LOVED it! Especially Stratt! Her and Rylands relationship/friendship is SO funny in the book and i love her character a whole lot.
2. A book I'd recommend: Im with @gettingbyi. Feel like a lot of people in the current political climate could use a read of 1984 by Georges Orwell.
3. A book I couldn't put down: No idea if i am allowed to say a series here but i LOVED the Riyria Revelations by Michal J. Sullivan. Finished the last book at 4 am in the morning because i could not wait for the next day.
4. A book I've read twice or more: This one is tricky since i have (sadly) a pretty good memory and need literal years to forget the plot of a book i loved. But i reread the Secret of Askir-Series by Richard Schwartz for the first time since i got it around 8 years ago. My second favorit fantasy series!
5. A book on my TBR: I have a giant digital TBR-List, since i have a rule of no more then 3 unread physical books. So ill pick a random one too, "The Binding" by Bridget Collins. I find the idea of 'binding' memories and secrets and storing them to keep them safe, hide them etc. very cool.
6. A book I've put down: I'll probably be stoned, but "The fellowship of the Ring". I LOVE the movies and tried three times, but GOD the pacing is just horrible for me.
7. A book on my wishlist: I would REALLY like to read "A Poiseners Tale" by Cathryn Kemp, about the 'Liberation' of women in Italy from horrible husbands etc. by the invention and spreading of the poisen aqua tofana, based on true historic facts.
8. A favourite book from childhood: "The City of Dreaming Books" by Walter Moers. Its like a love letter to language and reading.
9. A book I'd give to a friend: Project Hail Mary, since i think its way to manage the possible apocalypse and many personal and moral pitfalls, with its wit, optimism and humor is something we can use in current times.
10. A book of poetry or lyrics that I own: I have none. So sorry.
11. A non-fiction book that I own: "The World of autistic Women and Girls" by Manon Mannherz, Ismene Dietrich and Christa Koentges. Got it because my therapist is pretty sure im autistic, but female autism is and can be very different from the male autism and the one we see represented in media. It was a very eye opening read!
12. What I'm currently reading: I just finished Project Hail Mary today, so nothing. I need a cool down of two days before i start something new.
13. What I'm planning on reading next: Depends on my book budget for the month or what the library has. Maybe Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, have not gotten to read it yet.
Would love to read about the readings habits of @disappearinginq, @penandinkprincess, @skelotan, @samijen and @yuumei-art.
Naturally no pressure. Would just love to see what a few of my favorit artists read. 😊
