I'm like 98% headache free, baby! For the last 2-3 days at least.
It's been 2??? Weeks since my first ajovy shot at my neurologists office... And, WOW. I had one major migraine maybe 3 days after and I took my first ever Sumatriptan and YIKES I was fucking out the rest of the day with a major, major headache. I couldn't move my body basically, my head felt fuzzy, just overall a terrible experience. I can't tell if the major headache was from the sumatriptan or just a regular migraine but the other side effects were AWFUL. I took the pill sumatriptan around 10am? By 10:30 I was done for, and by 6pm I had the weirdest/longest panic attack ever lasting over night (didn't sleep at all) and woke up to a very mild anxiety attack that lastest the entire following day and beyond. Don't know if I'll ever take pill sumatriptan again, tbh.
I finally got around to getting a bottle of magnesium, and I started that about three nights ago. My first night I again had a major anxiety attack all night and couldn't sleep with, like, restless body x100. Awful. Though the last two days have been totally fine. Who knows what triggered that attack.
Now my issue is that my insurance hasn't approved my ajovy shot and it's nearing the time for my next dose and I'm kinda panicking wtf do I do.... ://// As freaked out as I was to inject myself I'm like giddy excited to do my next one because it's so far working!
I also need to change my pharmacy asap. My longtime one is a POS, so as much as I hate to switch to a chain I'm thinking walgreens bc they have order status alerts.
My head is KINDA groggy, like not at all, but also not "perfect". It kinda feels heavy? But I've been pain free for about a week now, and 2-3 days of no pain.
I've also taken ONE acetaminophen since getting the shot. Holy fucking shit, y'all!!!!!! ONE in 2-3 weeks! 🙌🙌🙌
Also an update to my tmj: I cancelled today's appointment because my jaw is FLAWLESS. a little tight when I clench over night but holy shit. My entire jaw bone in either side, the joint, up to my migraine brain has been so weightless and pain free I could cry.
after 27 years of pain & 4 years of doctors we're making progress, baby!!
