It was at the sound of saccharine sweet words said in polite manner that pulled her attention from her children to the owner of the ship which they currently occupied. Arms fell over her chest in an attempt to hide the fact that she was out in public with no support for her breasts, though the gown was tailored well enough to fit her curves that it was noticeable from well away.

❝ I’d be grateful if you could help us, ❞ Lisa answered before demanding her kids to come down from the ship in a demanding voice only a mother could possess. Within moments, bare feet thumped against the plank and came to a stop beside her mother, both girls dressed in oversized night gowns.

Surely by clothes alone the lady pirate could see they were far from home and completely out of place on the docks of this side of town.

          tara knew better than to point out the fact that pam was, in fact, crying.   instead, the younger vampire simply stroked blonde hair in a comforting manner.   fuck eric.    he was such a fucking prick.   she knew better than to say that out loud too, however  /   last time she did, pam nearly bitch slapped her across the face.    ‘ i know you are.   and it’s okay.    you can be pissed and let it all out, i ain’t goin’ nowhere, ‘   she spoke truthfully.   she was bound to pam now, and even though she couldn’t stand the bitch, there was something about her that tara would never be able to let go of.

Lying to Emma like this was the only way to ensure her safety. While they had never been open and honest with others about their relationship, it didn’t mean that Regina didn’t love her. It didn’t mean that Emma meant little to her.

Emma was her world. She had given her Henry and her happy ending. This didn’t come easily, but if Zelena found out – she was scared of just what her sister was capable of.

“Yes,” she whispered, unable to look her in the eye. “I suppose so.”

Emma nodded stiffly, struggling to control her emotions. “Just...” The word was broken, forced out between gritted teeth as Emma fought not to cry, breakdown or rage.

“Just... tell me one thing. Did you ever love me in the first place?”

“Hey – no I didn’t mean it like that,” Ruby’s stomach sank. Just being around Zelena made her nervous, never mind talking to her. However accepting that the other woman actually wanted to spend time with her was hard to take. She wasn’t exactly lucky when it came to matters of the heart, and her taste in men or women wasn’t always predictable.

However Ruby would never dream of thinking of Zelena as just a wicked witch. She was so much more than that.

“I-I’d love to spend time with you actually,” she breathed, a small blush creeping to her cheeks. “Honestly I didn’t even know you liked me, so I was just – shocked.”

She smiled awkwardly, unable to meet her eyes.

“But I like you,” she added – oh how much she liked her.

Zelena watched befuddled and enraptured as a series of emotions flashed throughout the younger woman’s face. She was truly a fascinating thing to witness, and never had a blush looked so fetching as it did upon her cheeks.

“You would love it? You like me?” Zelena smiled brightly. She felt almost dizzy. A part of her feared that Ruby would recant those statements or at best explain them away.

But whether Ruby meant her words as a desire for her friendship or something perhaps more, she would enjoy her company all the same.

After a long day, it wasn’t anything better than taking a small swim, which was of course what the queen had decided to do after the last meeting she had. The water was simply something that calmed her down and she could be alone for a while without going crazy. 

Something that didn’t happen that often was when she spotted her wife walk down the path to the small lake and she immediately grinned. Would it be possible that Cersei would take a swim with her? Neitherless she always liked the company of the other woman and she quickly swam over. 

“Are you planning on staying there or are you joining me? It’s actually quite warm today so you wouldn’t freeze and of you would be freezing... I could warm you up.”
