The Past/Creation of a Celestial Spirit - Memories
The official lore of Celestial Spirits is a tradition passed down from Celestial Mage to Celestial Mage and unfortunately, this practice slowly led to many of the finer/deeper details to be lost to the ages. Where did they come from? How were they created? These are questions not many know or can find the answers to. If you were to ask Loke, he’d shrug and say “we’ve always been here.” But that’s not quite true. The Celestial King was the first, but Loke, along with many of his other Celestial Companions, don’t remember who came next, why or how. Was their world always Parallel to Earthland’s, or was it created by some larger beings? No one remembers. But Loke can tell you, is that most (if not all) of the Celestial Spirits in the Celestial world, were once human, or a creature, in the human world.
Too long ago to tell his own age. Time passes different, but he knows, that at some point in his life, he was ordinary. What sort of life that was, Loke will never say. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because he, quite literally, doesn’t know it. From the moment he became a spirit, all memories of his original life were gone. His current memories are from every contract he’s ever held, and the time he’s spent in the Celestial Realm as the Leader of the Zodiac Keys. In fact, a big reason he doesn’t pay attention to his own age, is because he doesn’t age. His form can change based on the power he wields and what his contract mage may prefer. His entire being from the moment he became a spirit, was to protect and serve. Everything else is just trivial.
Or so it was supposed to be, at least.
