Stiles starts to feel this dark tick inside him again. Remnants of the fucking void or something and every time he uses his magic he feels it and it’s FREAKING HIM OUT. So he starts to push away from the pack, from his dad, from school. Whatever he can, he starts to hermit away from.
No one notices.
Because his dad’s busy and Scott’s head is shoved up whatever gilfriend exists this week ass and doesn’t see, hear, or smell the distress that Stiles is going through
Theo does.
Of course he does. Because he KNOW’S how it feels. He doesn’t blame Stiles for what happened when he was possessed by the nogitsune. (Stiles thinks everyone else does though) and he doesn’t pity him. But he kNOWS.
One day Stiles decides he needs a road trip. So he packs his shit up and sends out a text to his dad and the pack. One saying “Camping weekend with the pack,” the other “Spending the weekend with my dad out of town.”
Theo calls his bluff and jumps into the Jeep when Stiles is almost out of town.Together they “run away” for the weekend and, well, Stiles kind of likes the friend Theo’s becoming.
