CW deltaruined omorashi idea with Sp4mton I’ve had and probably won’t be using but maybe it’s something. It’s not a long thing but there will be more of those coming!
B1g sh0t Sp4mton is a prime target for car omo with driving between cy.ber ci.ty and T/V w/or/ld in the cun.gad.ero, but there’s one slept on form of car omo that could work with him. Imagine Sp4mton driving the trip between d4rk w0rlds. Traffic is crawling. The gas tank is low, and there’s a service station way ahead, so he decides to stop when he gets up to it. All the coffee he drank earlier has gone to his bladder and he realizes he should probably pee while he’s stopped instead of trying to hold it the whole way with how traffic is.
When he gets there, he chooses to refuel first so he can get right back on the road as soon as he’s done in the bathroom. But he doesn’t realize just how bad he needs to go until he’s standing with the fuel pump in his hand and can feel and hear the fuel hissing through the line. And the tab on the pump that keeps the pump trigger down is broken off so he has to keep his hand on it the whole time. It makes the urge so much worse, and he’s stuck squirming in place, pressing his knees together, and crossing his legs until the tank fills and the pump cuts off. By then he’s shaking and struggles to hang the pump up and close the gas cap before he can finally run inside to relieve himself.
After some organization, the next deltaruined omorashi math series is here, and Sp4mton won the poll for next up, so he’ll be the focus of this and the next post. Those five who voted for M3ttat0n, don’t worry, because he’ll still be next to be featured after Sp4mton’s installments and I am very excited to get to him!
But, let’s get into it. This will focus on calculating capacity, and the basic differences between BS Sp4m and Pu.pp.3t Sp4m in how desperation builds up and manifests itself. Under a cut because of length, as usual.
I am working on putting together a mast/erp/ost for these as well to make it easier to reference ideas that carry over.
We’re jumping into it with Sp4mton’s bladder capacity. Seems appropriate to start with when this all started from a question on deltaruined-confessions on how much T3nna’s bladder holds, right? We know he’s small. There’s no official canon height, but comparisons of pixels have put him in a range of a max height of 5’4” and a minimum 4’9”, so with the idea he shrank with the pu.pp.3t transformation, for these purposes, I’m considering BS to be around 5’4” or maybe a tiny bit shorter, and pu.pp.3t as 4’9”. There’s no rule that he can’t be shorter than that, as many headcanons do go for that. His bladder sizing would need scaling down from what I’ll have here if he’s depicted as a 3 foot thing or something like that. I’ll show you how at the end! Why not?
With heights based on pixel scale, he’s actually still in a range to use the average human bladder sizes that were scaled up to calculate T3nna’s bladder capacity. But, it’s also a popular headcanon for him to have a small bladder, so he might fall on the lower range of those average human capacities, where as we pushed upper end for T3nna before scaling up for the fun of him having a big bladder.
To recap the textbook guidelines I used for T3nna, quoting a physiology textbook I had for school well over a decade ago now, the average human bladder can comfortably hold about a pint of fluid, which falls between 400 and 500 milliliters. The 500 mLs is a favorable reference as the half-liter, as we talked about in past installment why the me.tr.ic measure is favorable for figuring out how heavy the bladder is. The first feeling of noticeable urgency usually comes in around 250 mLs or 8 oz again not an exact match but close, which is the stage of kind of needing to go, but it’s easy to ignore and not so bothersome. The bladder is dangerously swollen at 1 liter, or slightly over 1 quart/32 ounces, though some with larger than average bladders may hold more. This is the absolute capacity stage where an accident is imminent if there is nothing preventing being able to empty the bladder, as continuing to hold at this capacity can do a certain amount of damage to the bladder and the body will try to protect itself from this. It becomes painful and difficult to hold long before this, with the pain threshold usually being somewhere between 600 to 800 mLs depending on how used to holding it someone is.
Putting this up against Sp4mton for basic level before getting into BS vs pu.pp.3t details, we know he won’t be in that population that can hold over a liter of pee if he has a small bladder. He would have to fight really hard to hold just a liter, or be unconscious to get there, if he even can. So maybe his absolute capacity where his bladder gives up is around 900 mLs. If he’s holding more than this, something is preventing him from being able to go, and it is not a voluntary hold. If the mild desperation threshold on average is around 500 mLs or slightly less, where the urge becomes persistent and starts to become uncomfortable, maybe he hits this more around 400 mLs. It’s not painful yet, but it’s already bad enough that he can’t ignore it and might be getting fidgety and irritable. And he probably starts feeling the slightest urge starting around 200 mLs instead of 250. Pain threshold has some caveats to it, so we’ll hold off pun intended on that for now.
And now comes the fun of comparing. We’ll start with BS Sp4m, and there will be additional caveats for headcanons that I’ll attempt to accommodate for where they may adjust how different things are for pu.pp.3t Sp4m. I like to imagine him wanting to appear tough and not wanting to be seen desperate when he’s sober and at work, so he pees every chance he gets. Sometimes phone calls get him stuck holding it longer than he’d like to, but he’ll use excusing himself to go check on phone calls as a way to sneak off in T/V W0rld without having to tell anyone that he’s going to the bathroom, because he’ll just hit it on his way to or from the phone. I also headcanon that he’s weird about not wanting to tell anyone when he has to pee, but he has no problems using the bathroom once he gets there. This frequent peeing has implications to his desperation thresholds.
He starts feeling the urge at 200 mLs. That’s not even a full 8 ounce cup before he might sneak off on a slow day. He might start feeling a bit desperate around 400 mLs. So he’s already pushing toward feeling desperate if he drinks a single standard 12 ounce coffee. He couldn’t drink a standard pint sized single use water bottle without being considerably past this. He’s sneaking off to use the bathroom a lot. He’ll be in a terrible mood if he gets caught on the phone or in traffic too long after drinking his coffee, because that’s past the point he’d want to be holding if he had a bathroom available and the chance to use it. Because he pees preventatively a lot and his bladder doesn’t have much tolerance or conditioning to stretching past his desperation threshold, his pain threshold is going to be on the low end, probably closer to 600 mLs. Considering he starts feeling desperate at 400 mLs, it only takes about a cup past his level of starting to feel desperate to get him to the point of achingly full. Which means once he starts feeling the urge too strong to ignore, it’s going to escalate fast for him.
Let’s think about that in the context of common headcanons where BS Sp4mton loosens up after work and is pounding down drinks at the bar. If it’s small mixed cocktails, he’d probably get a few down before desperation starts, which fits the characterization I see with that. Hypothetically, if he drank a couple of beers, he’d already be full enough to be in pain just for that. But if a mixed drink or cocktail like he’d probably be drinking is somewhere around 150 to 200 mLs by the time everything is added in assuming he’s not doing unadulterated shots, he’d only have to drink about 4 of them on the low end to hit 600 mLs and start feeling it ache and get really desperate. To hit 900 mLs, if that’s about his absolute limit of what he can voluntarily hold before he’s leaking all over himself and eventually wetting, that’s 6 mixed drinks at 150 mLs, or not even 5 at 200 mLs. The headcanon of him drinking a lot and getting super desperate in BS era checks out very well in math. Not that it took math to know, but it further supports how he might easily push past his limit if he were to get inebriated and lose better judgement of where to stop himself. It’s also worth noting for headcanons with alcohol consumption that it does dull urgency signals at first, so a character might not realize initially just how badly they have to go until they move a certain way, so with his small bladder, Sp4mton might not notice until he actually hits his pain threshold if the fluids don’t catch up to him until he’s already buzzed.
The main difference for anyone who headcanons him holding until he’s really full all the time if he’s not as shy about being seen desperate or having his needs known is that he might get more full, somewhere around 700 or 800 mLs before he’s feeling the ache from distending. In that case, he would be able to cope with rising desperation longer, but once he feels painful, he really doesn’t have much time left before he catches up to his absolute limit. Compare that to feeling the ache earlier and realizing his desperation earlier on, but having more time to try to make a decision on what to do about it, and being uncomfortable enough earlier on to make this a priority for him.
And then we move on to Pu.pp.3t Sp4m. His bladder size on its own isn’t likely to be much different, but the anatomy around it and his habits and m3ntal state have changed a lot, and that will influence how it behaves. It’s one popular headcanon that he develops incontinence problems, in which case his capacity could go to either extreme, with either flaccid bladder incontinence with constant dribbling and emptying, or spastic where he would retain a lot and only leak overflow. I have a headcanon that he does have control and he can hold his bladder, but he becomes extremely paruretic or pee-shy, and instead has a hard time being able to relax enough to let go, and over time, this has set him up for retention problems and bladder infections. The details and effects of those will be in their own post, but they’re worth mentioning as an overview.
Assuming a situation where Pu.pp.3t Sp4m does maintain control over his bladder, unlike BS, he might be apt to hold longer with his lifestyle on the streets. Especially if his secrecy around using the bathroom carries over. If he abandoned this and just went wherever outside whenever he felt like it, that might be the gateway to the incontinence or really weak and leaky bladder headcanon path by training his way out of holding at all. But, if he wants to wait until he has access to a bathroom he can sneak into, or until it’s less busy around the trash zone alley to sneak into position somewhere discreet, he would hold more. Even if he has access to a bathroom someplace he’s allowed to use, as I have in my stories because I didn’t have it in me to be but so cruel to him, having to go to there from his dumpster every time might not be very convenient. It’s not terribly far away, but it’s a bit of a walk, and he just went a couple of hours ago, and maybe he can wait just a little longer before he makes another trip. If it’s in a business that isn’t open around the clock, and it’s close enough to closing time, he might strategically hold off just so he can go as close to that closing time as possible to increase the odds that he can hold it until places are open again for the next day and he won’t have to figure out something in the middle of the night. If he’s having to sneak a pee outside, he might have to wait awhile before it’s clear around him, because he might also have to be on guard about whoever might see him so he doesn’t get chased away from his survival means. His secrecy might be less about pride and more out of necessity.
So, this interpretation of pu.pp.3t Sp4m will have a holding stamina that BS does not. He will get used to holding, and there are some changes to help him along with that. Over time, his bladder would gain a limited tolerance to distention that he might not have had before. His pain threshold would increase, and he might get closer to that 800 mL amount before his desperation turns painful. He’s also probably not always as hydrated as he should be on the streets, so his bladder is filling up slower. Which, as discussed on a T3nna topic, actually allows the bladder to fill up more before urgency signals get as strong because stretching slower means less stretch receptors getting triggered at once. His bladder is still small, but he copes better with it being full. Up to a point. Once it becomes painfully full, it’s not any easier, and there still is a point at which he can’t hold it. There is also a downside in retention problems from the chronic fullness, which again will be in a follow up so this doesn’t get too long, or more than it already is.
Sp4mton’s body changes mean he now has an exoskeleton. He no longer has a pelvic bone close around his bladder, but he is more triangle shaped, so his body cavity is more narrow in that region. His legs are shorter, but his torso isn’t much different in size, so his bladder shouldn’t have gotten smaller. As the bladder fills, it normally expands upwards out of the pelvis and into the main abdominal compartment and this is true for any species with a bladder. Lack of a pelvis may mean less internal pressure with filling earlier on, so his early urges may be even less bothersome unless he has a bladder infection as another one of my headcanons goes, but the triangular body shape means his bladder would expand upward much faster. At first, when he is partially full and it can still be compressed, his other internal organs would push back to a point and there may be less connective tissue in his pu.pp.3t body to anchor and limit how much they can push down. But, as his bladder begins to firmly distend getting into that pain threshold window, if I also take my headcanon of him having a hard, thin plastic body shell, his body wall has a limited ability to bow outward and give him room to expand horizontally. This can still happen, but he has a tiny little bladder bulge! It probably wouldn’t show unless he hiked up his jacket or opened it. So, once his bladder has forced his body shell outward as much as the plastic allows, it has to keep pushing upward, and pressure against his body wall will allow his bladder pressure to be stronger than the rest of his guts resisting it, and it will push these upwards into his diaphragm.
So if pu.pp.3t Sp4m is so full he’s on the verge of wetting himself, somewhere around 900 mLs or just over that, he might also be short of breath from the compression against his lungs being able to expand. With however much he might force being able to breathe deeply, he might be getting his stomach compressed between his lungs and a very full bladder, and this might make him feel queasy, too. All of this assumes glitches haven’t already made him lose control, because increasing desperation will make him glitchy, and if he’s over his pain threshold, his glitches are going to be severe. Glitches may cause bladder spasms, so the bladder trying to contract when full, meaning his urgency kicks up even worse with every spasm from a glitch. Eventually, his holding muscles will fatigue, so he will start leaking through. If he’s having a paruretic lockup as in my AU, it may take longer for this to fatigue, and the more stressed he is, the longer it will take for it to fatigue. This may actually overstretch his bladder up to a liter in some extreme cases, which is something he could not do without being locked up if he tried. But the consequences of that are a whole different can of worms, so that’ll wait for next time!
Really quick, if you want to scale his bladder for different size headcanons, the formula for bladder scaling is first getting a factor by taking your height for him and dividing it by 5 which represents human height for simple math. So, if you see him as a 3 foot gremlin thing, 3/5 = 0.6. That’s the factor to then multiply against bladder capacity. So, if we said Sp4mton’s absolute bladder capacity is 900 mLs at human height scaling because his bladder is smaller than average, 900 mLs x 0.6 = 540 mLs. So, a 3 foot tall interpretation of Sp4m could only hold 540 mLs, or barely over half a liter. It’s the same formula if all began with when we recognized that T3nna at canonical full height is 3 x human height, and multiplying by three became the factor to scale up his bladder. 15/5 = 3, and if he has a larger than average bladder, 3 x 1.5 L = 4.5 L. And that’s basic bladder scaling math, not accounting for special conditions.
As soon as I posted my poll on who’s next for deltaruined bladder analysis and omo math, I thought of one more thing for T3nna. It does connect to ideas that will be more pertinent going forward, regardless of what character I do next. This is about rapid desperation and fluid consumption over time, so there’s one more thing to hold over until the poll is done and I start on the next. This is also an opportunity to make a reminder that if you are interested in these and have a preference on who’s next to vote if you haven’t already!
We know T3nna loves his coffee. But, there’s just a little fun to be had in considering how fast he drinks that coffee. Because the same amount of fluid in the bladder can produce drastically different levels of desperation depending on how fast that fluid is consumed, which is one factor in how fast that fluid collects in the bladder.
I’ll do the physiology breakdown below, but let’s consider how T3nna’s mood might impact this. If it’s an average day and everything is going well and he’s calm, he might sip his coffee slowly over the course of an hour. A “cup” of coffee for T3nna is probably bigger for him than it is for us, unless he’s shrunken down, so let’s imagine if he’s got that 4.5 liter capacity from previous breakdowns, his coffee mug is 2 liters. That’s equivalent to a person drinking something like a 12 to 16 oz coffee. By the time it gets through him a couple of hours later, he’s going to want to pee and will be feeling some discomfort with holding, but unless he’s been drinking additional water at the same time with that coffee, he shouldn’t be struggling too much to hold it yet, and he has some time to see if he can find a good opportunity to go to a break. If he drank it slowly.
Now, let’s imagine T3nna is stressed out for whatever reason. The family is fighting again. He has glooby feelings over Sp4mton leaving without a trace. The M1kes didn’t get something just so for him. He worked himself too hard the day before and overslept, and he had to rush to get onstage for today. Or it doesn’t have to be bad stress. Stress can be happy. Maybe he’s got the whole family watching him today and he’s really excited about it after a week of barely getting any attention! He takes that same 2 liters of coffee and chugs it down in ten minutes before getting on with the show. And not quite an hour in, he’s feeling a strong urge to pee to where he’s struggling not to fidget on camera, even though he knows he hasn’t had that much to drink. He feels like he has to go now, even though he didn’t drink any more than he usually does and has room to hold more. And if he has a weak bladder like it’s popular to imagine, he’s going to have to ask for a cut to a commercial break to get off and run to the bathroom if it doesn’t ease up before his holding muscles fatigue and he ends up peeing his pants onstage or while running off. Why is this?
The faster a bladder fills, the more fullness signals are sent at once, and the stronger urges are felt in response. If more signals that the bladder is full are sent at once, the bladder wants to empty, so it’s going to contract, which is what gives that urgency signal while voluntary holding muscles are still keeping everything in if it’s not a good time to let go. Now, there is some feedback from the voluntary holding muscles that may make urges back off after awhile if the bladder isn’t entirely full, because the body realizes it’s not a good time to pee. But, with more urgency signals being sent at once, that urge is going to be more persistent than one from just a few. It’s not something imagined that drinking something really fast makes you have to pee worse. There’s other factors involved in how fast the bladder fills, like other losses and activity level and blood pressure that we’ll play with when it comes time to talk about M3ttat0n’s hydraulic pressures, but consumption rate has a big influence on its own.
There’s a limit on how much fluid can be reabsorbed by the kidneys in a certain amount of time, so drinking beyond that amount within that amount of time even while dehydrated, and even without drinks with diuretic properties also means that fluid passes right through to the bladder instead of being absorbed to stay in the body longer. That is how the bladder fills faster for that same amount of fluid to cause so much more urgency. Is there actually a calculation to estimate by body weight what this limit is? Yes. So it would be possible to calculate how much fluid and how fast T3nna would have to drink to get over this limit and get himself in trouble. But that takes us into ugly calculus math territory, and even in professor mode, I am not nerdy enough to go there. It’s sufficient to say based on the concept that if T3nna nervously chugs his coffee, he’s going to have pee problems.
Let’s translate the graduate level science of why the urgency is so much worse into English, and debut bad scribble time. It’ll come back again when I get to bladder analysis with Sp4mton and his UTI urgency.
Most with basic education know that the bladder wall is made up of cells, or the building blocks of all live materials, and that’s all there really is to know about what it’s made of that’s relevant here. Bladder wall cells are special in that they can change their shape from round to flat. That’s how the bladder stretches to hold more fluid as it fills up. The cells turn flat, and the bladder wall is thinner and this is also why blunt force against a full bladder can pose a rupture risk in traumatic injuries.
All these building block cells represented by white circles have little nerve endings in them that sense if it’s getting stretched, and send feedback. I am not going to detail every step and all the jargon involved in the signal relay, because that’s just too much. But that’s how our brain knows that the bladder is stretching out and getting full, and how the urgency sensation is generated. If the bladder is filling slowly, then these signals build up slowly, and it might start out as something that is there but not hard to ignore. But, if a whole bunch of fluid is rapidly stretching the bladder out, and more of these cells are stretching out at once, a whole lot of urgency signals are going to hit all at once, and the urge will be felt more strongly. Eventually, the bladder will be full enough this will happen regardless, but it hits sooner and harder when the bladder fills faster. Like so.
This might be all fine for the character who can resist strong urges and really clench and hold as long as their bladder has more room to fill. But again, with the popular idea of T3nna having a weaker bladder, rapid urgency and desperation poses a greater threat, and it’s not hard to imagine a situation where he drinks his coffee too fast!
Since I have this separate account and sideblog that I didn’t have back when I made this on deltaruined-confessions, I’m confessing that this was me, and sharing more connected headcanons.
If I had this blog already back then, I wouldn’t have done an anonymous confession for it, since I do plan for it to become a story. It’s an idea I’ve been sitting on since before I started doing anonymous fics, and it’s starting to show some promise in my drafts. I’m unsure, but maybe headcanon rambling will boost my motivation, because I really want it to become something after all this time. The angst is beginning to dominate the spiciness in the draft, as I thought it might.
It connects to a bigger headcanon I have that I’ve already written and posted stories of where Sp4mton has a shy bladder, and since there’s been a lot of ideas going around on how his time being on the streets would have messed with his bladder control, I guess I’m a little less shy at the moment to try sharing mine, before my stagefright gets the best of me. Mine has an opposite pattern. He has retention problems because his bladder walls have been overstretched and weakened from holding it too long and too often, so he doesn’t have the same strength to push everything out with. Sometimes it was from not having a place to pee when he lived in the trash, but it also happened if he was so nervous that it wouldn’t come out when he tried to go, and he would still struggle with this living in C4st.le T0.wn afterward. Maybe even more than before, because he’s not hidden away. His bladder shyness makes him hold it longer than he wants to, which sets him up to have accidents when he reaches his limit before he finds a place where he feels safe enough to let go. And from holding it too long and not always being able to empty all the way, he sometimes gets infections that make it all even more complicated. Then the above can happen. He also probably already had recurring UTIs when he lived in the trash, and I can’t remember if I rambled in an anon in the early fall way long ago when I first started lurking or not, but that would be a whole thing, too.
This is the first time I’ve been able to bring myself to make a post in the main tags and I’m terrified, so please be nice 🙏
I’m back with another Deltaruined omorashi bladder math dissertation. This time we’re talking about the saying of feeling pounds lighter with relief. T3nna is the best character example as usual, but we’ll look at a couple of other characters that I plan to give their own capacity math posts.
Because it’s long, I’ll leave an abstract above the cut. T3nna can actually be ten pounds lighter after peeing if he’s filled to his limit. Read more for proof of how that works!
For anyone newer to this and want more context for recapped points, I’ve previously done T3nna pee math here on a confession post before I had this account, and then here on my blog.
Before getting into it, there’s an argument about units that can become an elephant in the room, and there’s about to be lots of units here, so let’s address it. I admit I was raised to use US customary/imperial measurements, but in my field of study, metric is often favored. For omorashi math, I like both! There’s different things one scale can be better than the other for, and it all depends on what you want to do. And here, that means jumping between scales. I try to explain the matchups without harping on it too much, but do ask in the comments if anything is confusing and I’ll explain more. Imperial measures can be nicer for some drink sizes and consumption in smaller fluid volumes less than a liter. There’s some opportunities left to hint at an exact quantity without using numbers, too many of which might clog up the narrative flow in writing projects or just wouldn’t seem right in dialogue. The pint is great. It’s a practical drink size that lines up with tall glasses or single use water bottles. It’s also very close to a half liter or 500 mLs, but again, flows better in writing. A cup can also flow better, though may be less clear if it’s a volume measure or just describing a container that might be bigger than that. Some alcoholic beverages are measured in terms of pints like beer, and others in ounces, particularly with mixed drinks being put together though milliliters have their place in that too, and intox has its ties to omo, along with the diuretic effects of those beverages, too.
But even though the saying more often uses imperial and goes pounds lighter and there is an advantage to this, metric is by far the better system for converting fluid volume over to weight. Or mass, because the imperial semantics are a misnomer, but that’s also an old habit that would die hard if we tried to change it. It’s favored in science because it’s designed to do this in factors of ten that just math nicer. 1 liter of pure water is also 1 kilogram, and likewise, 1 milliliter is 1 gram. This works because water is the reference point that was set up as having a specific gravity of 1 which is the calibration factor for how heavy a certain volume amount of fluid is. And unless some life threatening levels of dehydration or other bad things are happening, the specific gravity of urine isn’t going to be high enough above that of water to make a significant difference in weight between the two without an amount of urine that most characters just wouldn’t be able to hold. It’d take multiple gallons to see something that would show after rounding. Normal urine is slightly heavier than water because there are some other things mixed in it, but even really concentrated urine wouldn’t come within a tenth of a difference for most characters as it’s usually not going to be above 1.050 unless they need to go to the hospital. So to not go through ugly complicated math for a difference in the end result that only shows with leaving a long and awkward decimal, for our purposes here, we’ll set the weight of pee equal to water. The reason I do all this nerd talk to mention the difference at all here is to make a point that the amount of pee is slightly heavier than what we get with simplified calculations, if that teeny tiny difference does matter to anyone. It is heavier and working in favor of the dramatic effect, so it is worth that!
Anyway, when we talk about a character who is bursting to pee and then they say they feel pounds lighter after going, it’s typically seen as an exaggeration. And it is. But there’s some truth to it. We know that a liter of pee weighs a kilogram plus an imperceivable amount more, and if a kilogram converts to about 2.2 pounds crossing back over from metric, then someone at their limit holding close to a liter of pee is going to be about 2 pounds lighter once they let it out. They don’t even have to manage to hold that full liter to hit 2 pounds, either, with that kilogram being more than double. It converts to about 900 mLs to get 2 even pounds. Or a minuscule amount less volume if we really want to push the argument that concentrated urine is ever so slightly heavier than water. They are indeed pounds lighter. And for the dramatic effect, while metric is our best friend for easier conversion math, imperial and pounds give us a bigger number to describe the weight. That’s why we want to switch back over for the saying. That difference gets even bigger and more fun when dealing with really large characters like T3nna, too, as I’ll show here.
Recall again from previous bladder math nerd talk that the average sized human bladder can comfortably hold around a pint, or half liter. So around 500 mLs, or half a kilogram, roughly a pound at the point of starting to feel some amount of desperation, and at an absolute limit might stretch to hold a liter or those 2.2 pounds though forcing this limit too often can cause damage over time. We scaled T3nna up by 3 because of his canonical height of 15 feet that approximates to 3 times human height, and we factored in the possibility of him having a larger than average bladder on par with one that might hold up to 1.5 liters.
With that scaling, T3nna would actually be several pounds lighter. If he can hold our range of 3 to 4.5 liters or kilograms with low end/average sized bladder to high end/large bladder scaling up. Well, 3 x 2.2 = 6.6 pounds if we’re giving him low end, and 4.5 x 2.2 = 9.9 if he’s given high end capacity. Close enough to say he would feel ten pounds lighter if he has a large bladder and was holding to his absolute limit. A gallon falls in the middle of that range around 3.8 liters or kilograms, so he’d be just shy of 8.5 pounds lighter using that measure, too. But maybe this the best argument yet to have T3nna have a larger than average bladder? Even if it’s weak and he can’t always hold it until it’s filled up all the way? Being stuck doing shows after drinking too much coffee so he’s forced to hold for hours until his limit, and then he finally gets to pee after barely making it or maybe he didn’t make it, and he literally is ten pounds lighter, let’s fucking go! Who’s with me?
And actually, with T3nna being able to produce so much pee because of his size, that tiny little factor that I left out of the math but harped on that wouldn’t make a measurable difference in a human sized bladder? It could make a measurable difference on him if his urine were more on the concentrated side and push it even closer up on that 10 pounds. Though, even at his large size, it’s still not really worth it to go through the trouble to only find that maybe it’s something more like 9.95 pounds. Big whoop, we’re going to round up to the nearest half pound and end up at 10 anyway. But just understanding that technicality is all the more justification to say 10 pounds instead of 9.9!
And I am putting together posts on the bladder capacity math of the other characters I use in my omo stories for context, but without going too deep to take away from that, I do headcanon the popular idea of Sp4mton having a smaller than average bladder where he probably wouldn’t reach a liter at his fullest aside from very uncommon situations that might stretch him further which I’ll get into when I do his post. But I did calculate him reaching his typical max limit around 900 mLs. While he doesn’t reach that full liter or a whole kilogram of pee that has its appeal as a big amount, he still fits 2 pounds of it in a small body. In his pu.pp3t body that might actually feel pretty heavy! And again, pounds lighter compared to not quite a whole kilogram make him a good show of how imperial units have an advantage for this part.
Something that will become important in one of my eventual stories is my version of M3ttat0n having a 1.5 liter coolant waste tank. He does use purified water for that most of the time because it’s easier to dispose of than chemical coolants that may be toxic, so that comes out to 3.3 pounds. And being water, that is an exact match so no tiny weight difference caveat here. His hydraulic waste tank is larger at 2 liters, but hydraulic fluid is lighter than water or going back to heavy nerd talk, specific gravity less than 1 and the difference is great enough that yucky math with that as an additional factor would be necessary to be semi accurate. I’m not doing it exactly, or typing it out, but rounding that factor up to 0.9 so I have a nicer factor to subtract out than with 0.86, 2 liters of hydraulic fluid would be roughly 4 pounds (as opposed to 4.4 if it were water that we’d probably round up to 4.5 to be able to say four and a half). I’ll have more on him in a future post, but two tank structures analogous to bladders full at the same time leave him weighed down and there’s other consequences on his motion than just being heavy.
So yeah. Pounds lighter has some truth to it, and gets really fun with T3nna. And different measurement scales have different talents in omo math too I guess.
This is the Part 2 omorashi specific headcanon post for T3nna in the early stage Relief In Recovery series. Part 1 is here.
As with part 1, some of these may technically be spoilers, but limited on where they fit in plot, and more a look into how things work. Similar as with my UTI Sp4mton theory that still left a lot unsaid on how that was going to actually look in writing. And I’m also going to revisit the infamous bladder math from deltaruined-confessions which I already reblogged once I made a blog for this stuff and outed myself as that anon and add some more to it, because it adds to a lot of possibility in return, and supports some popular headcanons already out there.
Before going into Norrie Nonymous the Professor mode, if you actually got through the first post and are actually here for more of my cha.rlie br.own.ing into the void, all I can say is thanks! It wasn’t intended to be this long but I started writing my thoughts and this is what happened!
Now after going through everything in part 1 about T3nna’s arms, what does that have to do with omo?
Short answer, a lot. It seems a popular idea for him. I like it. There’s a lot of different ways it can pan out, and that goes to the long answer. His arms and hands not working with him and being unable to undo his belt and pants works, and it works at multiple checkpoints. Maybe the malfunctioning wire is one that only affects really fine motion in his fingers, and he could even undo the belt and get it off if it weren’t for the tiny little clip to get the buckle to release so he can actually pull it open and get it off. And it probably upsets him more that it weren’t for that one tricky step that’s too much, he’d be fine. It could be that his hands are limp, but the rest of his arms work, and maybe he could still hook his thumbs onto his waistband and get his pants down if he didn’t have on his belt but now he can’t manage any part of the belt. Or it could be all the way to his arms hanging limp at his sides and not being able to do anything with them at all. He can’t open the door of the room he’s in to get out and go to the bathroom, let alone undress himself if he got there. That could be the wires breaking, or maybe the weld scar fatigued, or he just pinched a wire. Maybe a pinched wire could slide free just in time for a barely made it or a made it halfway through wetting.
And then there’s the point from part 1 that T3nna’s arms aren’t his only problem. His legs weren’t detached, but they probably don’t feel great all the time between his age and the impact of falling, and there’s internal things that might not be quite right either, so his sense of balance might be off. Maybe his arms are moving just fine, but they’re weak, and the rest of his body is just sore or off-balance enough that he needs to use his arms to help push himself up out of a chair or bed. Even if he could have gotten to the bathroom and done everything just fine if he had already been up, bearing his body weight on his arms to get himself up so he can get there could be that one thing that’s too much.
Maybe he has all the motion, but he’s just having a bad day with neuropathic pain. If he starts anticipating that whatever motion he’s trying to make is going to make that even worse, he might get too scared to try and just stay where he is while getting more desperate while frozen in fear. Hopefully he has someone with him to distract him from anticipating so this doesn’t get that far out of hand. And if the fear itself isn’t making his desperation worse, it’s not helpful.
Taking a side road from physical impairment sabotaging attempts to make it to the toilet on time, a lot of these possibilities are reasons T3nna might feel a bit gl00by. And if T3nna gets gl00by, he might just shrink down. Depending on what’s bothering his arms, that might help him and get his function back by reducing the weight of his arms. But that might not help him fast enough before another problem catches up to him.
T3nna’s ability to shrink down being a risk of him peeing himself? That’s another popular idea, and I’m all about it. Getting technical with it could be fun, and since I already outed myself as the T3nna bladder math anon on deltaruined-confessions, let’s bring that back and figure out just how much of a problem the shrinking down really would be. Not accounting for any d4rk w0rld magic that might impact bladder capacity, which is to each one’s imagination.
Recall that by most physiology sources, the human bladder comfortably holds up to somewhere around 400 to 500 milliliters, and for most, is dangerously swollen by a liter, though larger than average bladders might hold up to 1.5 liters. I believe that very old textbook from way back in high school stated that holding becomes painful anywhere from 600 to 800 mLs on average as well.
On the confession blog, we scaled the maximal human bladder capacity up threefold for T3nna, because his full height from official sources is 15 feet and five feet is close enough for human height and makes for nicer math, and that means his maximum bladder capacity could be about anywhere from 3 to 4.5 liters depending on if we’re taking the low or high end capacity for multiplication. A gallon is almost dead center in that possible range, too.
It’s important to factor in with the definition of maximum capacity that T3nna is already desperate and struggling long before he gets to this volume. IF he even gets there, and most of the time, he probably won’t after getting cle/av/ed. I agree with the popular idea of him having a weak bladder from age, too, so if half capacity is where discomfort usually kicks in, he’s already starting to feel slightly desperate at 2 liters, give or take. Around a liter and a half if we went low end and capped him out at 3 liters. This is where the typical bladder is becoming more persistent with urges. Urges are actually the bladder trying to squeeze while full to increase the sensation. So if his holding mechanisms aren’t what they used to be, that’s a lot of volume left and a lot of time to have to withstand all those urges to actually get to maximal capacity. Which is, as the book says, dangerously swollen. Actually doing some damage to the bladder lining and straining. Maybe not enough that it won’t heal if it happens on the one-off rare event, but the body doesn’t want to do that, and for good reason. It gets really hard not to leak or lose it to urges before even getting here because the bladder is going to try and protect itself from damage, so unless it’s been stamina trained with frequent holding, it’s probably not going to get there unless there’s an obstruction preventing peeing, or if the upper muscles that push everything out aren’t working appropriately for a ton of reasons that don’t need to be gotten into here. Also, this is why too frequent holds by choice aren’t great, because that mild damage happening faster than it can heal will eventually stack up and come at the cost of strength. It’s not any better when it’s not by choice, as with paruresis, but that’s not always avoidable. Maybe at his peak, he had a good stamina to hold all the coffee he chugs until he really was pushing that absolute limit, but if he wasn’t already losing whatever strength he gained before getting cle/av/ed, he surely doesn’t have it anymore. Maybe he still can get there occasionally, under certain conditions. But that’s it.
But, getting back to shrinking. If T3nna were to be at that line of just starting to get desperate while at full height and shrinks down to just half his height, and if that cuts his bladder capacity in half, then he’s already wetting himself if we took the low end, and on the verge of it and hurting himself to hold it if we went high end. That’s if he goes down to half his full height, somewhere around 8 feet, and still very tall. So if he already needs to go badly enough that it’s uncomfortable, and he gets really gl00by and shrinks down to something tiny, it’s all over. There’s no way he could hold it if the pee isn’t able to shrink down to some amount with him, which even if it can, probably not proportionally.
Even better, if it takes a person about 200 mLs to feel any sort of urge to pee, approximately a fourth of that max capacity, give or take, at his full size with the adjustment for scale, T3nna could be holding somewhere around a whole liter of pee before noticing any sort of urge. This was implied, but not calculated out in my Maintenance In the Right Measure story because that would have probably been too much even for me and would have interrupted the narration flow. But there’s why even with preventative trips to the bathroom, T3nna can still get caught off guard and make a sizable mess when he gets sensitive areas tweaked during maintenance. And shrinking down is an even bigger problem here. If he can feel that he needs to go, and he’s not too overwhelmed by his feelings to be aware of other things, he might try to be careful to resist shrinking too much. But if he doesn’t even know he needs to go, he’s going to run into trouble if he gets down past a certain height.
Consider how much T3nna can hold before feeling any need with having a weak bladder, too. Anything that could make his holding muscles just give up out of nowhere. Maintenance, sure, but what else? Maybe a sudden fright. Or getting jolted in some way. He already has enough in him to make a big mess before he even knows he has to go, and there’s also those unpredictable things that he can’t try to make preventative bathroom trips before. But no, I’m not saying the circumstances around how that might happen in my stories aside from M3ttat0n doing maintenance, because that would be too much of a spoiler. I’m sure that could be done in ways I wouldn’t think of on my own, too. And with where I am in my story outlines, there’s more I might come up with later, but that’s what I’ve got for now.
Same as before, I’ll answer questions. A little speculation and bouncing ideas never hurt the creative process.
I just had another deltaruined omorashi related thought about T3nna. Because a dissertation in T3nna pee headcanons earlier this week wasn’t enough.
When T3nna fell after getting cle/av/ed and took a hard impact with the ground. How likely was it that T3nna really had to pee when it happened? He shivered and blushed when he mentioned there being no bathroom breaks, and it’s part of why omo freaks love him. He also asked for a cup of coffee when it was suggested that he already needed to go, or knew he was going to be desperate by the time the show was over. And he didn’t get a chance to go before the r0ar1ng kn1ght came in.
Hard impacts actually can cause a bladder rupture, and the fuller the bladder is, the greater the risk it will. Also, those who like to imagine him with a massive di.ck, the longer the narrow tract out is, the more pressure and greater risk if enough pee can’t flow out fast enough to accommodate the pressure. But if the bladder doesn’t take a direct impact, the rupture may be small enough that it doesn’t cause much internal leakage at all. And when it’s not a catastrophic rupture, bladders heal pretty fast. Smaller ruptures can heal enough to have no leakage at all in three days without surgery. Until it does though, the bladder is super weak and can’t hold much, and it still doesn’t have its full strength until all the layers of the wall have had a chance to heal.
What if T3nna’s bladder actually burst when he landed, and not only did he need help peeing before he got his arms back and working again, but he was having to pee every hour or less? Also, with the force of impact, he would have had to pee himself to not burst his bladder, so one of those two things happened.
Here be some complicated Relief in Recovery series headcanons for T3nna. Because an.g.st has exploded in my drafts and I need to step back and process the basics.
It got long, so I’m dividing it up. This here is all about the generalized aftereffects of cle/av/ing that could be used with any kink. I’ll have a Part 2 that’s all about how these work directly with the omorashi content in my stories, but I don’t really go into that here. It might be helpful context for when I get part 2 up, though, but it’s not needed. I already made it, and I just have to post it and edit to hyperlink it back here.
Placed under a cut because they could be seen as spoilers, and it’s still long. But it doesn’t really show how it would pan out in a story. It’s more focused on the in-depth how-it-works stuff that might not all be possible to build into the plot beyond implying it somewhere, in nerd level detail.
Disclaimer that I also don’t write or draw this level of detail of what’s happening here, because it feels too mean for me, and if it shows up, it’s very lightly implied with the resulting consequences. This is just some context to how the stuff I will write works, which is either omo or heavy on comfort.
I have to address the obvious first, because it’s expected. Cle/av/ed arms. If he doesn’t have these put back on right away, the problems before he gets them back are endless. But it wouldn’t be unreasonable to believe that he’d have some long term problems even after having them put back. This is a popular theory that can lead to many other popular issues. And it works so well if we tie it to real world stuff, too.
Yes, T3nna gets his arms back, and we’ll assume he gets all his wires spliced and soldered back together, and he eventually gets his shoulder joints welded so they’re properly attached. Even with everything repaired the best it can possibly be, it’s not like it never happened. I like to imagine robotic Dar/ken/ners as biomechanical, so let’s imagine wires are similar to nerves. The functions parallel each other well if we’re not going as far as chemical signals in the deep physiology. Nerves have limited capacity to regenerate. They can heal up to a point, but with massive trauma, major nerves are not going to come back to full function. Even if they come back enough to where someone doesn’t notice many effects, neurons have died off, and there’s differences in nerves that have been compressed, partially cut, or cut all the way through.
On the bright side for T3nna, wires do much better than nerves after breakage. But like a damaged nerve that manages to regenerate to a limited capacity, a torn wire that gets spliced back together is still more fragile than it was before it broke. And without proper insulation, contact with anything else to complete the electrical circuit by another path is possible. The coating of T3nna’s wires got severed, too, because everything got severed. Insulating tape isn’t as strong as a rubber cord coating, and it could come loose with excessive motion and humidity changes. That’s possible with T3nna’s d4rk w0rld form where he’s moving around all over the place. But, if repeated motion could cause individual wires to break at some point again, applying a proper rubber coating makes it harder to access that weak point where breakage will happen again in the future. Working harder and digging through a cord coating to get back into it to fix one wire might break additional wires in the process, too, and probably wouldn’t feel too good. Nobody wants a frayed nerve poked and prodded any more than necessary, so maybe the problems with tape are the lesser of evils.
So T3nna really will need more frequent, extensive maintenance on his wires going forward. If one small wire inside a cord detaches, and makes contact with another bare wire inside the cord, that can send aberrant signals. A pathway that was never meant to be connected opens up, and he has abnormal sensations, and maybe some twitching in one part of his arms, while another moving part doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to, or part of his arm is numb. The further down his arm, the more likely this is to happen with how far the wires travel, so unless it’s a wire that controls something further up and knocks his entire arm offline, this probably happens more as dexterity issues in his fingers, or fingers going numb and cold. Lack of power to his extremities is going to make them go cold too. He probably doesn’t tolerate cold temperatures as well as he used to, but if he had a more vital wire break, this could still feel cold even in a warm environment. If it’s a sensory wire, he could just be numb, but aberrant signals might mean tingling, itching, burning, or aches, too. I personally err on the side of non-painful things most of the time, but these are all the possibilities others reading are welcome to play with.
Some of these sensations relate to neuropathic pain. Even the non-painful ones. This can be weird, because sometimes it’s felt right at the source, but sometimes it’s felt in a completely different location as referred pain. Similarly, there’s phantom pain, which is poorly understood, but is believed to have some connection. Maybe T3nna should be completely numb in his fingertips with whatever wire just randomly disconnected itself again, or got pinched in a position that’s hindering its function, because that tape isn’t as strong as the rubber cord coating. Except there’s pins and needles instead, even if there’s no abnormal signal, and that path is completely disconnected and not getting any electricity to it.
T3nna could also have neuropathic pain of another sort around his shoulder welds, called windup pain. Without making this post three times longer or being the teacher with dialogue represented by a trombone sound effect any more than I already am to explain how that works, it’s related to sensitization from continuing pain. It’s why it’s easier to control pain by taking medication before something painful happens when that’s anticipated, rather than waiting for pain to get out of control to take something for it. It’s much harder to get back under the pain threshold once it’s been passed, and unfortunately, T3nna didn’t know that was going to happen and wasn’t loaded up on the cocktails of pain meds and local anesthetics that would be used for an intended amputation, or whatever that would look like in the d4rk w0rld. So, with windup pain and that hypersensitization, there could be days where if he moved wrong or got brushed up against in just the right place, it could be rough, especially early on in his healing process. On a bad day, he might even see something coming for his shoulders that never even touched him and react, because that signal will still happen with windup. And he would be well in his right to be gl00by and shrink down to nothing, because even though it seemed like nothing, it feels real! This does improve with time and healing, but realistically, he would have it to an extent with his injuries. Regular maintenance to prevent wire breakage and catch it in the early stages helps control him from redeveloping windup, and over time helps ease away what he had by supporting the healing process. Which is why in my writing he gets regular maintenance and is doing much better for it!
Another problem, not with the wires themselves is his shoulder welding. No matter how well it’s done, there is a weld scar. A thicker area compared to what his original body casing was. This isn’t unlike internal scarring and fibrosis in biological systems. Safe to say, T3nna doesn’t have the same range of motion in his shoulders he used to. But the scarring itself may pull abnormally on other structures and make a space tighter than it used to be as well. Putting his arm in a certain position may compress on the wires going back to connect with the chassis of the rest of his body above the site of cleaving, which also causes similar problems of numbness, tingling, and cold. He might try to move his arm a certain way reaching for something up high and suddenly lose his grip and drop things, kind of like with something called tho.rac.ic out.let syn.dro.me that involves nerve impingement. I’m putting dots in there because I don’t want this in the search results for people struggling with that who probably don’t want spicy content from fandoms in their search. Deeper connections closer to his chassis might give him backaches from the abnormal motion of his shoulders, too, or just the joints being tighter at that connection. If he overworks himself, he could be out of commission for a couple of days if he doesn’t have someone to massage out the tension, which with the right manipulation could free up any compressed wires. Spoiler alert, he will get this as comfort in my stories at some point
His shoulder welds also need maintenance in the d4rk w0rld, because they are a point of weakness with heavy arms attached, and they will fatigue with time. And they can go very wrong whenever they’re routinely redone. Too-thin welds will break down faster and might not hold his arms as effectively, which puts more strain on his wires, and based on the above, that’s not helpful to him. Though, it might prompt him to deal with it before his arms are falling back off in a situation where he puts off maintenances because he’s anticipating discomfort and scared about it. Too thick welds, and the decreased motion and wire impingement issues are only worse than they already will be. So that’s a delicate balance.
Enough about T3nna’s arms, though, because I think we might be sleeping on other things. Those are his glaring injuries, but T3nna fell down a massive drop when he got cle/av/ed, and he wasn’t shrunken down when it happened. With his size, that was a hard impact. Could he have had some other wires knocked loose in other parts of his body? Sure, he could have. They weren’t necessarily broken, so if they get reattached, he’ll be fine. Wires can be easily reconnected to circuit boards, unlike avulsed nerves pulled off their attachments. Figuring out where the problem is and getting to it though might be a whole thing, though, and maybe he doesn’t even notice some of these until he’s back up and moving around after his initial repair and recovery.
The canon plot screams of T3nna getting older. The joints in his legs are probably not what they used to be, and there’s not much on how they were affected when he fell. Which means anything could be possible. They weren’t detached, but they could have been hyperextended or dislocated. Any of those things could have temporarily pinched wires in his legs. These things, aside from the wear and tear on his joints are potentially recoverable if a wire wasn’t torn apart, but that could take some time, too. So really, he could be dealing with leg injuries, too. And anyone who has had leg injuries, or just been really sore knows that when trying to get around, arms are usually a compensation tool. Pushing up from sitting or laying down with arms, or using certain tools that pull weight off the legs, like crutches or a cane.
Maybe T3nna can still compensate with his arms on a good day, but if his arms aren’t working and his legs aren’t fully online either, he’s going to need someone to help him around. And he’s probably going to want it anyway, because with his abandonment fears and not being able to follow after anyone to try and prevent being left behind when he thinks that might happen, it would help him a lot to have someone come to him and help him out. Show that T/V some actions instead of just saying that everyone’s always going to come back! It’s gonna be awhile before he can believe it without seeing it! There might even be some room for comic relief in that. He would need to shrink down for most other dar/ken/ers to be able to help him around, which might be easy at first if he’s feeling gl00by because his legs and arms aren’t working right and he’s scared and all, but imagine if he starts feeling comforted by the help he’s getting and he starts growing back up to full size. Uh-oh!
And then canonically, he has a bent antenna, and a cracked screen is a popular concept, even though he doesn’t have this in the game if he gets saved. If his antenna isn’t braced right, it might not stay in position to pick up signals appropriately, so maybe this would equate to something like fatigue and brain fog? It seems more than fair he might have some issues with that. The cracked screen, if it’s used, which I personally don’t, but there’s nothing wrong with using that take is something I imagine would either affect his vision on one side, or give him sharp headaches, like migraines on that side. Again, I personally don’t go for that, because it feels a little too mean for me to do on top of everything else, but there’s side effects of migraines and all I know work for some people here, so it could be something. He’s also mentioned to have messed up colors, so maybe his internal degaussing mechanism doesn’t work quite right anymore. Since that corrects the ion flow, I imagine that would present as vertigo. Maybe it gets worse in certain positions, or with certain activities. My own take, I like to think it doesn’t make him feel sick unless it gets exaggerated by maintenance procedures for a short moment, but it does have an effect, especially when his arms and legs already aren’t at full strength to help him balance. So that’s another time he might be dependent on someone to help him around, or even if he can get around, he just wants to shrink down and be carried because it’s comforting.
And those are the major leads for possibilities I managed to pull out of T3nna’s injuries. If you sat through this whole lecture into the void, thanks for attending. There will be a follow-up soon for omo freaks like me, though like this one, it’s optional. I’ll answer any questions anyone has in the comments or by asks!
