We started with the ones who were clearly innocent bystanders. They wouldn't know the code. But they were useful, as we let their tortured wails drift through the cell windows to psychologically assault the other prisoners.
Next we worked on the obvious alphas, the rest listening as the toughest girls were broken one by one, spilling more and more secrets, leaving less for the remainder to confess.
One by one, the group passed through the torture chamber. The effects of the process were obvious, each girl lasting a shorter time after being made to listen to their friends enduring the torture to their last pleading cackle.
Surprisingly, it was the second to last prisoner who told us the code. I think she was an altruist, hoping to spare her friend the torment. To dispell this notion, we continued her torture for two full hours after she talked.
Which left the last prisoner, to her dismay, with nothing left to give up to us.
