Ends of a Circle || Marc & Phae
He’s come to New Orleans for one reason and one reason only. To make the visions in his head a reality. Not always did he follow the visions in his head, knowing that most of them would happen in their own time over the course of life. This was different, though. These visions had plagued his mind since he was young and it was time that he do something about it. The fact was, in Hawaii he wasn’t likely to cross paths with the wide-eyed woman. He had needed to remove himself from a water locked area to allow him the ability to find her.
What told him he had done the right then was the visions themselves. They hadn’t changed when he’d decided to move. They hadn’t even changed when he decided to go straight to where she was. If anything, they had gotten stronger, more clear. He could see everything better. Not just the present but the past. It stood out in stark contrast to the rest of the visions. Complete details specific to the period. Details Marc could not possibly know.
He’d just gotten off a shift at the local hospital and was on his way home for a much-needed nap and shower, but he was starving and the local coffee shop had the best damn beignets in the entire french quarter so naturally, he had to stop and get a few before dragging his tired ass back to the tiny apartment in Algiers. He liked his coffee and beignets. They were no malasadas but they were a close second.
While he waited for his order, Marc stood by the door, eyes closed. His large frame was held up by the frame that encased the window by the door. His mind only barely registering the ding of the bell as people came in. At least not until his magic tingled strangely and it forced his eyes open. A jolt slide through him, the electricity crackling for a moment before it all went silent. He looked around trying to find the source of the sudden shift in his magic.
