As many of you know, @estevino_nyc & I are involved w/ @HolyApostlesSoupKitchen, the 2nd largest emergency food program in the nation, serving +20,000 meals a week to children, families, elderly, veterans, homeless, & those now facing economic hardships due to the pandemic. On Thurs., 9/24 the soup kitchen is transforming the 8th annual #FarmtoTray benefit into a virtual event, which is a culmination of the soup kitchen’s year-round campaign against hunger and food waste, two issues which have been exacerbated by COVID-19. I hope you can join our efforts to help #healhunger by making a special gift to support Holy Apostles on my fundraising page (see link in bio). This photo is of my family @ last year's event. 100% of donations goes directly to Holy Apostles & is tax deductible. Any donation will automatically register you to view the event on Thursday, 9/24, 7pm EST. If you can't donate, that's ok! Register for FREE by scrolling to the bottom of my donation page to watch the event & learn more about the soup kitchen, & learn cooking tips & tricks from our Culinary Partners like @yvanboom @casanomadnyc, @chefgingerjpierce @jams_nyc @1hotels, @pastryschiff @gage.and.tollner, @robertaustincho @kimchismoke, @frank2jog @google @restaurant_associates, & a special cooking & mixology demo by @chefrjackson @reverencenyc featuring an awesome cocktail sponsored by @oceanhill_applebrandy! Since January, the soup kitchen has served over 500,000 meals, surpassing their projections for the entirety of 2020 and setting a new record for meals served throughout their 38-year history (10MM served to date). They need our help now more than ever. Thanks to my family & friends that have helped the soup kitchen. Every dollar, every like goes a long way. 🙂 Sincerely, DISH & #TheGoodHubby (at Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFU8zfFD6Zc/?igshid=9ze458i8g05n
