So, not many of you know this, but three days ago I had a bit of an accident with a ceramic plate that got set down on a still-hot stove burner.
First step was to apply ice, because OW! Next day, we picked up some cut and sifted Meadowsweet and Mullein Leaf, and got to work. Step one, drain the blister. Step two, wash with tea tree oil and witch hazel. Step three, mix up the poultice.
One pinch of Meadowsweet.
Two of Mullein Leaf.
About ⅛tsp fresh aloe pulp and ¼tsp honey.
While mixing, invoke your preferred Divine Aspect/Deity and ask their blessings on your work. (I chose to invoke the blessing of Persephone and Bridgette, and yes I know they're from two different cultural pantheons, don't @ me over it.) Once mixed, apply directly to the drained blister.
Then apply the gauze pad over the top and tape down.
Repeat as needed. We're on day three and...
Recommend a waterproof Manuka honey bandage in between poultice uses to remind yourself of the healing injury while still having more finger mobility than the full dressing allows.
Blessed be and be healed!
If you have a hard relationship with your family, I see you. It's not your fault. 🩷🧡💚
Big steps next week!!! That eclipse really has ushered in new experiences huh
Change is hard. Who knew
The crazy thing is that, once you decide to live, you have to...live. make decisions and connections and mistakes and joy and all of it imperfect. All of it yours.
