my eternal headcanon for heart is that there is a heart for every bird. there is a mourning dove heart who coos longingly when the sun rises. there is a swan heart who dances gracefully with feathers of pearl hue. there is a duck heart who doesnt mind the rain, embraces it even. there is a hummingbird heart who collects flowers, perhaps even has a garden. there is a chicken heart who keeps his other thirds warm when the nights get cold. there is a parrot heart who returns compliments and favors regardless of the conditions. i believe.
