Preach girl preach!! I find it amazing and amusing, yet also concerning that we as humans are born with the ability to see things as they are and not what they eventually become from learned behavior. Kids seem to know more about how the world works than their parents who try to keep them shielded do. What is ‘manly’ or what we consider it to be is only taught. Then why are we teaching our kids the wrong things?

I find it hilarious how there are actual people on the internet who proudly die on hills that reeks of how amazingly unfit they are at parenting anything, and that’s for all to see! But it is comforting knowing they struggle here! Agh, these pestering dress-dressing men, influencing their children to be whoever they want to be, dress however they want to dress. HOW CRUEL. How incredibly vicious of people like Harry, to dare make others feel like they have a choice. To make them feel accepted for who they are. The rage. The outcry! I bet a lot of them are gnashing their teeth at night knowing he’s out there, being a safe space for their child. You have to laugh!

I know this isn’t what you asked, but I feel like ‘tis the damn season and Dorothea were coming from different times. Like in the first one maybe she’s gone to la but she still comes home regularly. By the time he’s singing to her, some time has passed and she no longer comes home at Christmas. Maybe her career is faltering but he still thinks she has it made.

To me it seems like in Dorothea he has a skewed vision of what her life is actually like, he’s putting on a pedestal. Then it seems like she comes home and she knows he’s always had a thing for her and so she clings to him to find any sort of normalcy she can. Because maybe her career is faltering, or fame isn’t all she thought it would be. It seems like she’s kind of taking advantage of him, just hear me out, I miss you, but I’m leaving. And he’s always seen stars in her eyes so he agrees to keep her warm. This guy needs to take off the rose colored glasses he has aimed at Dorothea. Because it’s not just her heart she’s gonna break. That’s what I’m getting from these songs I think.
