Miss Shoebill, do you often get disappointed or perhaps upset when others tend to find you intimidating..? Or is it a feeling that you have gotten used to at this point? If so, is there anything that you do to drive the feelings away..?

It's... a bit complicated to me. Even when I used to be an animal, I guess it just didn't really affect me until I became a Friend.

I guess it does bother me, a little bit. I don't mind being alone, but I wish I could make friends as easily as everyone else. I think it's something I'm already used to, though; it can't be helped when that's the first reaction I usually get.

All that being said, though, there's still other Friends that sometimes stay with me and we get close. Usually if those feelings of isolation get too strong, I'll go out and stay with them. A lot of them say that once they get past my appearance, they see me as gentle and kind... I guess it feels nice to know that there's still others that will want to be friends with me even if I don't really look cute.

...thank you for your question, by the way. It feels almost a bit weird to talk with someone who doesn't seem uneasy the first time they meet me.
