i refuse to believe that like six ppl couldn't have rescheduled a single dnd session. #teamlucas

(or necessarily#any age but ESPECIALLY that young.) like friendship drama is heartbreaking!!! and complicated and painful!!!#i literally remember a friend just stopped speaking to me freshman year and i never found out why and it was#someone i had been close friends with since like age 6. and i never found out why he distanced himself and was#torn up about it for months. and on obviously still remember it like 15 years later.#idk stranger things is funny bc some stuff they do bad but some stuff they do SO right#i actually love eleven/jane in this ep and how we get to see how hard adjusting to a typical school environment is for her#like this is what i've been wanting!!!! (and also why i think she's not ready for romance. but that's a whole other post)#oh yeah one aside. i think hopper and joyce have zero chemistry. none. should stay close platonic friends.#there was potential at the end of s2 with them smoking together outside the school. but s3 killed it.#he was so ... idk. off-putting? like i feel like they devolved him socially to try to make him have a Silly Romance with joyce#uk like /haha we argue but we want each other/. and it felt terribly executed and inconsistent with his behavior in earlier seasons
