Gah I have been down a SPIRAL about Heartless!Heart and his relationship with death and suicide the past few days because it finally came up in the Lost in a Dream RP. Like. He might be post-au and from the recovery phase of Heartless, but those thoughts and feelings don't just leave you yknow?

And under similar enough stress its rather easy to relapse isn't it? Because to Heart, rejecting Emotion is an escape from himself. He doesn't feel anything when he commits, and that means he can't feel emotionally hurt. And Heartless is an AU built on guilt. Heart wasn't allowed to fall too far into it because by the time he started feeling guilty Penitence and Perseverance were there to hold him up.

In the RP? Heart was "alone" with it and feeling it pile up more, and he wanted to escape.

The other thing is that I've had to think about how being FUCKING ELECTROSHOCKED back to life. Like the main thing I discussed in Heartless canon is that Heart gets a temporary boost in energy and his emotions are heightened. The thing I DIDNT say is that he is exhausted when the energy wears off, and that for some time afterwards his emotions are raw and extremely amplified. The thing I DIDNT say is that Heart is more likely to reject emotion again at this junction where his emotions are raw and amplified, because rejecting the Emotions Side is an escape from emotion in itself.

I lost where I was going with this HAHA, cause I placed this into my drafts a couple days ago.

INCREDIBLY funny that of the artists who have drawn Penitence.

Two of them typically draw HMS buffer. But Penitence looks like a TWINK in their artstyles. Like he is TINY compared to how they normally draw HMS.

I was joking in his reference when I said that he was a stick and that fat and muscle slide off of him but it really looks like the twink curse has been laid upon him.

I'm not sorry Penitence you're clearly the twink of all Souls.
