@heartprintflowers, @salarymanexorcist
Rin didn’t bother with entering through the supply shop proper; with all the chaos going on, he was sure it was packed to the brim with Exorcists, and that was the last thing any of them needed right now. He barged through the garden gate instead, breaching the barrier without so much as a twitch and rushing to the door of Shiemi’s garden shed. Unable to knock because he was carrying Yukio, he kicked the door with a shaking foot instead.
The twins were a nightmarish sight to behold; both of them were pale, shaking, and absolutely covered in blood. Even Rin’s hair was covered with the stuff, stark red against the pale white strands. “Sh-Shiemi, Yukio’s hurt—”
I hurt him. I did this to him. The only thing keeping the guilt from suffocating him was the feeling of Yukio in his arms; as long as Yukio was alive, safe, and with him, Rin could live with himself.
“Satan’s gone, but s-so is his eye, and I— I tried to stop the bleeding and I couldn’t,” he said, close to tears. His demon half had clearly tried to burn the wound shut, but he hadn’t been very successful if the amount of bleeding was anything to go by.
