2019: Transition into True Identity
This year is a year of transition. We are moving from who we once were into who we are becoming, and are stepping into our destinies. It is time to let go! Let go of a past identity that restrains, undermines and suffocates. Let go of past regrets that keep us focused on “What if?” and “If only”. Let go of past hurts that keep us tethered to someone or something that is from a past season, a past self. Let go of convincing others who we were created to be, and just BE.
Sometimes it is difficult to go forward when important people see us a certain way, and treat us accordingly. We often struggle, feeling as though a heavy backpack is upon us, a coat that is too small, or a mask that is contorted...to please, fit in, go with the flow, conform. But what if we were made for more than that? What if we were, each one of us, made not to fit the mold, but be a masterpiece? What if you are a Monet and I am a Picasso or a Shakespeare and a Dickens? What if we were created to invent our lives in the mirror of the Master Creator?
As we move forward in this year of transition, it’s time to stop waiting for our important people to change and treat us differently, but change ourselves. As we walk as the people we are truly created to be, walk following our hearts’ callings, walk free and empowered by the love and acceptance of God, we will find many people will begin to react differently to us, but even if they don’t, no one will be holding us back anymore - not even ourselves.
