After about a WHOLE WEEK’S WORTH of practice, he’d FINALLY been able to conjure a spell without his staff-- albeit a fairly small shower of sparks, but it was still something! In her excitement, grinning ear to ear, the witch leaned over to give Ian a SMOOCH on the tip of his nose, too enthralled with the spell he’d cast to realize what she’d done.

let me just start off by saying that making ian was my best idea i've had because i get to rp with you as him! your barley is amazing and so down to earth! you give him so much voice and thought that i'm HONORED to be able to write with you! just the way that your barley has so much 3D characteristics in him--god it's just amazing okay???? you're amazing and i'll keep telling you that no matter what!!!

      Kharon takes a step back, looking down when he suddenly realized he wasn't alone, "Ah, sorry, I... didn't see you there." He says between as a deep chuckle quickly leaves him and shakes his head, a nervous little smile pulling up over his lips. Noting that they were not exactly what he was used to seeing, at least not in a long while.

      Wil blinks a few times before his eyes narrow, his lips twitch, causing his mustache to shift around. His hands flex before he lifts them up, palms up, to motion at the boy, “YOU! You seem lost, this isn’t a safe place to... to be!” His arms move out from his body to motion around them now. His eyes wider now, a hint of genuine fear, mixed with confusion settled in the dark hues.

“...well... looks like Barley forgot to pick us up, huh--?” They’d been waiting (in the rain, no less) for about ten or so minutes for their older brother to snag them from class in what would undoubtedly be a tuck-and-roll into Guinevere as she’s moving sort of pick up. Isaac rolled his eyes, but then chuckled, giving Ian’s side a little nudge. “Wanna dry off and call mom...? Or sh-- should we hoof it?” | @heartsfiire​ ;3;

his PERSONA was a way to cope.   that DANDY & eccentric aroma that masked the hidden depths of despair & longing for simpler times to anyone who got know him.  for a while,   that had been his own family.  it wasn’t for the sake of sparing them further ache,  whatever he was feeling didn’t diminish their own feelings to counter it.  the only one who had a role to play had been their mom,   raising two boys in a single household --- it couldn’t have been easy.   she needed MORE THAN ANYTHING to assure them that things would be okay & for the longest time that meant harboring her own emotions.  as time went on -- barley started to understand that.   growing into a man did that to you & with that knowledge came the responsibility to shelter ian.   instinctively,  it had been something he had done all his life but it wasn’t until he reached his twentieth birthday that he realized that he had already been doing it.   teaching him how to ride a bike,   teaching him the basic necessities of swimming --- tiny things that were contributing factors to the established bond they had now.  to be honest,   barley never thought ian noticed.   his little brother was so caught up in his own world that he seemed oblivious to those around him & he never blamed him for that.  there were many times that he wished to do the same,   quests of yore provided that COMFORT that he needed but it wasn’t the same.  ian had somehow found a way to wonder,   maybe it’s because he only had memories of their father.   he was lucky that way because it meant that he could be spared from that REAL PAIN that barley continued to feel everyday. 

❛  neither are you,  ❜   he says in assurance,   eyes showcasing what appeared to be hope.    forget his own peace of mind because regardless of what he was feeling ian would always be priority.    ❛  i think we need to work on being the kind of people who can tell each other ANYTHING. ❜
