yeah, he probably does. he trusts tomura but to an extent (it’s more like he’s ashamed of his past and tries to keep it hidden as much as he can) bc he’s used to people using things against him that he gets really defensive when people find out about things he’s tried to keep hidden for a while. like you’d probably have to like reassure him a lot that you’d never tell anyone else for him to relax and stop being defensive.

oh yeah, i can see that, like especially in regards to his quirk?? ppl would probably ask him when he was younger and when he told them, they’d call him names or maybe even use it to blackmail him (i.e. ‘if you dont do this thing for me, i’m gonna tell everyone what your quirk is and they’ll all hate you for it’ kinda thing). but him coming from a hero family makes that even worse

I'm like... Low-key thinking abt Tomura uncovering yuuma's secrets and all the shit he keeps hidden. Yuuma would actually be furious tbh. He'd just be trying really hard to hide his anger and be like "congratulations. you've discovered who Kitamura Yuuma is, are you proud of yourself, Tomura-san?" Like when he gets pissed, he really goes off but he rarely gets mad at Tomura himself.

That would probably be the difference between them. He doesn’t care that they were once his family, he’ll show no resentment in hurting them because in his own eyes they’re worse than monsters. He doesn’t see them as his family, he sees them as people who hurt him and basically caused him to have very strong murderous tendencies.

i mean... is he completely wrong tho?? maybe about the murderous tendencies, but the worthlessness and hurt they made him feel?? he’s not wrong about that

that would probably be one of the only genuinely serious conversations they have, yuuma would show no traces of joking or even murderous tendencies, he’s just serious and the first thing he says is “so, you know that I had a family before this who were heroes… I ran away for a reason. Why should I live by anyone’s rules. Heroes deserve what’s coming to them if they think they can trap me like my family thought they could. Anything you’d like to say, say it now.”
