Travel Throwback | “But why think about all that when all the golden lands ahead of you and all kinds of unforeseen events wait lurking to surprise you and make you glad you’re alive to see?”-Jack Kerouac | @marykeroberts reminded me that this time, four years ago we took the trip of a lifetime. @drizzleanddip captured this happy memory exquisitely. @visitwellingtonza had invited a group of media to ‘heart Wellington’. This particular memory stands out because life had recently battered me and it was glorious to experience enormous generosity, kindness and beauty. Some of my happiest travel memories were on press trips, opening our hearts and minds to new adventures, making new friends, rushing through a packed itinerary, discovering special enclaves, sleeping in the most generous accommodation, eating and laughing until our sides hurt - then trying to capture the magic of a destination in words and pictures. I look forward to packing a suitcase again, until then, may we all stay safe.
