Hi there ! I know that you have a face book for Heat main and supporting characters - thank you ! - but I wondered if you had a headcanon for Javi during the Narcos: PR era? I know there are some physical descriptors sprinkled in of current Javi, but just wondered if there’s a specific version (look? character?) of Pedro Pascal’s that you’ve taken inspiration from as you continue Heat past the Narcos: Colombia era.
(Trying to refrain from gushing about how in awe I am of your writing and storytelling and how much of a source of hope, empathy, and love it’s been for me these last few days [not that it hasn’t always been an escape, I just have more of an excuse to detach from reality now] but thanks for sharing your words with us xx)

It means a lot to me that you enjoy Heat so much. So I don't feel silly for admitting that I've thought about this A LOT throughout writing the "Narcos: Puerto Rico" era of Heat 😁
So the last time we see Javi within the canon of the series is on his land, disgruntled and dejected at seeing the boats go by. He's gruff and clearly out of practice doing manual labor.
Each era of Javi is distinct, I think. And his hair is the most noticeable tell for the era: Shaggy and finger-combed with a late 70s flare in season 1, slightly neater but still mostly curling in wayward tufts that fan across his crown and brow in season 2, and trimmed and neatly-brushed locks styled dapperly (aka Boss!Javi) in season 3. But by the end of season 3, Javi's looking unpolished:
I like to think that after this, when he's in Laredo for a spell before he takes the job in PR, Javi's defaulted to letting his hair grow out a bit, so by the time he heads down to take the job, and Querida sees him in the meeting for the first time since he left Bogotá, Javi looks like this:
His sideburns are grown out again, he's back to the shaggy, finger-combed look to his curls, but he's really trying to make a good impression. So instead of the rumpled, well-worn suits he'd don before when he was a field agent, he's in a new, nicely tailored light gray suit, not dissimilar to the great business suits he wore throughout season 3. So in the conference room, he's basically in something similar to this look:
Querida loves all his looks, and frankly so do I, but the combo of his shaggy, unruly tufted locks and a tailored, dapperly dressed Javi is dead-sexy 😏
In the upcoming chapter, though, Javi is going to have a new 'do, which, I will spoil as being something between these two looks:
