This winter, we've been testing a weapon against the cold - FirstGear's new heated 'puffer' vest. When the weather turns, just click the chest button to get high, medium or low heat right where you need it most — your torso. Since it is powered by a Li-ion battery pack, there are no cables to fool with and it keeps you toasty warm for hours. Plus it uses a standard USB plug, so it's easy to charge off the bike during your journeys. With improvements in battery technology in recent years, it's nice that we can now have effective heated gear that doesn't require being tethered to the bike.
