Trudging through the snow got more than annoying in just a couple of days, but strapping some wood planks under some boots she fished out several years ago from somebody’s luggage. She wasn’t even sure why she put those away at the time, it was too hot to wear, but it also looked cute, it’s not like she could just let somebody ruin it. Now, instead, she was ruining the look of it with the planks, but at least it was all working and made walking around easier and more enjoyable.
(Take this island, Tamyra thought, it was a small victory to find enjoyment in something so tiny, but she was going to take every bit of victory against this fucker of an island.)
She was going around the beach with a purpose of finding somebody this time, half sliding half walking in her boots, trying to locate one Heather something, as far as she knew (her information didn’t seem to catch a last name, Tamyra was fine with that.) Dark skin, blonde hair, has that new and maybe still inexperienced look about her still, which Tamyra was hoping she could turn into some kind of advantage.
Tamyra knew who she was looking for, she’s seen the woman around a couple of times, but she hasn’t interacted with her in length yet. It was just enough knowledge for her that when she spot the woman sitting by the pit, near the fire (the fire that has been burning brighter and stronger since the snow fell and that became a spot where people came together to get warm).
She headed over, stopped next to the woman, focusing her attention to the fire for now - hands reaching out towards the flame to soak in a bit of its warmth, her fingers dancing just a bit. “Feels nice, right?” she said with a small smile, glancing over at Heather for a moment. “Swear it’s not the worst that the island has thrown at us in the last year, but it’s still very hard to get used to seeing snow around here.”
